Jérémie Felsen returns to Mauritius in the context of his personal research on the rare dodo bird, which has been extinct since the 17th century, but his wanderings in ancestral lands will lead him to the tragic story of his family. At the same time, the story of Dodo unfolds, a wandering beggar who seems to have been born to make others laugh... What connects them is Alma, the farm that once belonged to the Felsens but is now dominated by a shopping center.
