Description

Historical and cultural research, which was conducted for the first time in the Greek Secretariat. It is a unique work that highlights the world of spirit and culture, as well as the artistic talent of important people of the blue "City" of Galaxidi, an important historical town in Phocis.

It is an important bibliography, which is divided into two parts.

In the First Part, the lives and works of one hundred and twenty-five (125) historians, literary authors, and scientific authors, as well as poets, who were born in the town of Galaxidi or originate from it, or finally worked or lived there, are recorded. Among them are the monk Euthymios Pentagiotes, the medievalist Konstantinos Sathas, the author Dedousis Hardavellas, the author, poet, and lyricist Kostoula Mitropoulou, and the author Eva Vlami - Lekatsa. Also, sixty-four (64) Galaxidi intellectual individuals have been registered, who have written and published in literary or philological journals and in literary, folklore, historical, and cultural texts, as well as poems.

In the Second Part, the lives and works of eighty-one (81) Galaxidi individuals who were involved in painting, iconography, wood sculpture, sculpture, and ceramics are recorded. Among them is the well-known Spiros Vassileiou in Greece and abroad. Also, the Galaxidi individuals associated with theater, cinema, music, and photography have been registered. Among the latter is the director and teacher Dimitrios Rontiris.

It is a significant work for historians and researchers, but also a useful tool for secondary education students and especially for students of philological university departments.
