The volume "Technology and Informatics" is a work within the framework of the Greek Educational Encyclopedia. In this book, technology is defined as the deliberate transformation of materials and knowledge into useful products (as well as any "technological knowledge" set related to this transformation). This transformation is achieved through a series of processes that include design, production, quality control, product distribution, as well as recycling of raw materials and environmental protection measures. The emphasis given to informatics, as evidenced by the title of the work, is due to the explosion observed in the production, distribution, and storage of information in the last fifty years.[...]
