Three different texts that demonstrate a correlation of the concept of Spirit, as defined by the various philosophical currents of Greek classical antiquity and Christianity. The first presents succinctly the fundamental ideas of the cosmopolitan Spirit, as conceived by the Presocratics, the Pythagoreans, the Stoics, and Plato.
The second presents the influence of Platonic philosophy on the ideas of Gregory of Nyssa, who reshaped and incorporated it into the core of Christian thought. Finally, an attempt is made to analyze the influence of the Holy Spirit on the Christian mystical experience.
