Italian-made espresso/cappuccino machine with a stainless steel front, built-in grinder, and ground coffee holder. It incorporates Gaggia's expertise and experience, consistently delivering rich crema and body in your espresso or cappuccino at the touch of a button.
Simply and intuitively using only four buttons and an easy-to-navigate LED screen, you can monitor all functions and create your personal preferences.
Minimalist elegance, ergonomics, and efficiency are the characteristics of the Gaggia Brera, the espresso coffee machine that adapts to preferences and offers experiences of authentic, professional espresso. Choose coffee beans or ground coffee, adjust the grind level, flavor intensity, and the amount of coffee in the cup. The 15-bar pressure, pre-infusion, and excellent coffee saturation ensure a coffee rich in flavor and body every time.
The Brera is equipped with a 100% ceramic grinder, extremely durable, which prevents overheating ensuring a cup of coffee with all its aromas and taste. Choice between 5 grinding options for finely or coarsely ground coffee.
The Gaggia adaptation system automatically adjusts the grinding parameters, such as grinding time and revolutions per minute, to ensure the precise amount of ground coffee regardless of the choice of coffee beans.
Adjusts the intensity of the coffee aroma between light, medium, strong and stores preferences for future brews.
The stainless steel user-friendly pannarello combined with Rapid Steam technology achieves exceptional speed in coffee and froth production.
Thanks to the self-cleaning system, the removable coffee brewing unit, as well as the removable water and coffee residue containers, a perfect-tasting and hygienic espresso is ensured daily, extending the machine's lifespan. The descaling Alert function notifies when descaling is needed.
Specifications are collected from official manufacturer websites. Please verify the specifications before proceeding with your final purchase. If you notice any problem you can report it here.
I expected it to be better in terms of the intensity of the coffee flavor. The automatic grinding does not grind the beans sufficiently, resulting in the coffee not being strong enough. The option to use pre-ground coffee it has offers a better taste result. I have not yet tried other beans apart from Buondi Gold & Prestige.
You just stop getting coffee from outside.... blackbart coffee Guatemala, double shot espresso, shaken with ice and I have the best freddo espresso!!!!!!
I have had it for a year. I am very satisfied. It is easy. fast, and makes very good coffee. The only time-consuming process is finding good coffee, as mentioned by another owner above, don't look in famous or supermarket brands, it's a waste of time, you will never drink good coffee. Find a small good coffee shop. Coffee from outside is over. Also, for a year now, it hasn't given me any trouble at all. It's worth buying. I will come back.
"Attention" do not leave the grinder empty. It must always be covered with coffee. It helps a lot with the grinding and in achieving the best extraction, quality, and taste of the coffee.
It is a very good automatic espresso machine!
Purchased for the office 2 weeks ago and makes an average of 6-12 coffees per day. Very easy and simple to use and maintain. With the right variety of coffee and the appropriate settings, it produces very satisfactory results. With coffee beans purchased from the take away we pass by so far, the result was almost equivalent, with the setting on the highest coffee grind (1/5) and full intensity of flavor/quantity of coffee (3/3).
Overall, for the money it was purchased (300€) it is very honest, and although most of it is plastic, it shows quality construction. At startup, it takes 1 minute to self-clean and as you can see in the video, it is immediately ready for use and requires minimal time to warm up, grind and make the coffee. It is also not particularly noisy, neither in the grinder nor during preparation.
I have been using it for 6 months. It does not make coffee like the professional ones in any case. For convenience, if you do not have high expectations from your coffee, it is ok.
I was looking for a long time what automatic machine to get because I was tired of making bad coffee for everyone with a semi-automatic one I had. From the reviews I chose this one. It is excellent and finally I stopped buying coffee from outside. It takes some trials to find the blend you want and this was it. Easy to use and easy to clean.
I have been using it for 2 months now (4-5 coffees per day).
It has solved my hands, I just fill it with water when needed and empty the basket.
The coffee it produces is better than many stores out there.
Due to the area and water hardness, I chose to use the water filter as well.
As for the quality-price ratio; I happened to try coffee (espresso, freddo espresso) from automatic machines that cost 1000+€ and the difference does not justify the price.
I highly recommend it.
A simple, reliable, beautiful, compact coffee maker. I use it only for espresso, as I have a milk frother device. It doesn't have as many settings as newer models, but the coffee it produces is very good. I rarely buy coffee from outside anymore. I recommend performing descaling more frequently than the machine suggests.
Happy New Year!!!! Many years!!!!!
I did market research for automatic espresso machines Phillips, delonghi, krups...... I think Brera is Top for home, I also bought it for 330€...... The only thing that gave me a little trouble at the beginning when I put it in cleaning was when I opened it (descaling programming).
Something else that impressed me is that it washes itself at the beginning and when you close it. The group needs rinsing, in general it is an easy and very high-quality machine!!!!! Luckily there are still a few pieces available
MY NERVES ARE SHATTERED. Can someone help who knows how to adjust this machine.... because the coffee comes out watery no matter which possible option I try, even with the adjustable apple set to the highest.
Finishing the first kilo of coffee, I consider it to be one of the best and simply beautiful machines that one can buy for this money. Its cleaning is relatively easy, access to water and coffee disposal is also easy, and its maintenance as a coffee maker I consider relatively easy and you don't spend much time on it. Experiment with different types of coffee such as cappuccino or Americano, which I love! I definitely recommend it!!!
The machine is awesome! It solves your hands with one touch... the nozzle is powerful, I can even make chocolates... quiet, fast, worth every euro!
Well, the machine is very good, easy to use, and if you use good coffee, you will drink very good coffee
Note: The machine makes perfect espresso, the only thing left is to find the right blend for my taste.
Double espresso with danesi monorigine, simply perfect.
It's perfect, I have been saved... the best thing to escape from expensive capsules with zero quality. I searched for 2 months with coffee machines, to see where I would end up, in automatic or semi-automatic. After reading the reviews and watching the reviews on YouTube, I decided to get it and I didn't regret it at all!! It's very easy to use and makes proper froth if you know how to handle it. With a good quality grinder, it surpasses even the coffee from outside! I have already recovered the cost from the coffees I drink. I paired it with black bart blends and it's simply amazing... I don't feel the need to buy coffee outside!
I love it, it makes fantastic coffee very easily. We have had it for about two years and when someone takes care of it (descaling, cleaning, etc.), they fully enjoy its benefits. It cannot be compared to any other coffee maker. Buy it with your eyes closed.
Zero complaints after 2.5 months. Fast, user-friendly, automatic, simple, and makes good coffee. Is it perfect? No. Is it an 8+/10? Easily. Can it be done with the press of a button? It can. Have you been to Samos? No, you have been to Cup. Take it and enjoy your freedom
Serious machine.
The 5th coffee convinced me that our relationship will depend on the endurance we will have between us.
With a glance I took inside it, I have the opinion that:
1) We will have a two-way and slightly romantic relationship. It will serve me if I meet its needs.
2) I will be the only one to make coffee and maintenance because who else will bother to learn its tricks. If I'm not around, they can drink Greek coffee.
3) But if you like the screwdriver a little like me, then you will make a good company.
In conclusion, if you like coffee to have something from you, buy it. Otherwise, DOLCE GUSTO.
Good coffees.
After 6 years of daily use at home with a minimum of 6-7 coffees per day, I can say that it is a worthwhile investment. If you follow the instructions for the programmed descaling (approximately once every 3 months), you won't have any other issues. I highly recommend it.
Whatever I say is not enough. I bought it based on the reviews and I didn't regret it at all. Excellent coffee for my taste (ipanema and hausbrandt), fast, easy, and simple. It informs you about everything, water level, waste bin, coffee level. It produces a very nice foam and ultimately, despite its price, it is more economical than daily orders outside. I don't have a professional opinion, as a simple user and a daily coffee lover, I have enjoyed it.
In eight months, it has been to the service twice, which is located only in Athens. The first time, the grinder had a problem, without finding the source, and the second time, the water supply completely stopped, possibly due to the hardness of the water and slow desalination
As the owner of this wonderful Italian product, I am completely satisfied with its quality, elegance, and sophistication. In terms of functionality, it clearly makes its presence felt with the quality of the coffee it produces, sturdy construction, and ease of use. It is aimed at users who are at least familiar with the basics of cold and hot beverages, with exceptional performance.
As an owner of the Gaggia Brera and Gaggia Classic 2018/19, and as an occasional user of the Saeco Lirika and a Nespresso machine, I am tempted to compare the Gaggia Brera in terms of the final result: 1) much better extraction level compared to a capsule machine, 2) similar extraction level to a high-end Saeco super-automatic machine, and 3) inferior result compared to a reputable semi-automatic machine like the Gaggia Classic. Generally, achieving a high extraction level with at least an entry-level semi-automatic machine is extremely difficult, if not impossible, for a super-automatic machine, no matter how good it is.
I decided to give something more to start enjoying quality coffee at home. From the first 5-6 coffees I made, I was not satisfied at all.. Maybe the machine needed to work a little first. I don't know. Mill setting at the finest grind, coffee intensity at 3, infusion setting at 12.5 seconds, quality coffee beans (Drakoulis Tusso Epic) and voila.. I don't feel the need to drink coffee outside anymore.. Rich in flavor and exceptional aroma. I don't know if I have ever had a better coffee in my life. The machine is easy to use.. VERY EASY. Everything is automated. Press a button for a few seconds to warm up, press another button and it's ready.. Very beautiful machine. High quality. I don't have an opinion yet on the nozzle. I don't think I could have made a better choice. It's not silent, but it doesn't bother the world either.. Normal things. I have had coffee from many cafes, only one can compare to the coffee from this machine and I put them on par...!!
I have had the machine for less than a month and the impression I have is that it is worth every penny. It doesn't make noise, heats up easily, easy to handle, and has quick settings for first use, and the best part is that the coffee is amazing! You are just one button away from enjoying a perfect espresso, considering it is a home automatic machine. Obviously, you can see better results from other manual and more expensive machines, but for what it is, the result is very good!
After a month of use, I am completely satisfied. Of course, I have not tried the nozzle. The previous machine was an Ariete Retro combined with a Delonghi grinder, okay they were worth their money but they have nothing to do with the Brera. Grind, weigh, measure seconds, now I just press a button... and the coffee is ready. I set the highest grind, three beans on the indicator, and modified the time the coffee runs from 22 seconds to 16 seconds. I have been drinking Lavazza Tierra for years and I enjoy it after a while.
I agree with all the reviews. However, I haven't had any other machines like this, I only know about capsules. But I can't find anything negative, I'm having a great time.
I put it on the finest setting after a friend's recommendation, and it's amazing.
As a new and inexperienced user, I am fully satisfied. It cleans itself, I don't have to worry about filters, etc. I will edit later if something goes wrong because it's a bit early.
Edit: After months, it's like new. It asked me and I bought some cleaning liquids to clean it, it has asked for cleaning once. Overall, it's smart and asks for things. Also, a positive aspect is that it can make very light coffee if you want. You can drink many light things, which is a huge bonus for me.
Gaggia warranty!!! I have had it for 4 years and it hasn't had any issues, descaling always on time (it gives you a little sign). I highly recommend it without reservation!!!
