Purchased for the office 2 weeks ago and makes an average of 6-12 coffees per day. Very easy and simple to use and maintain. With the right variety of coffee and the appropriate settings, it produces very satisfactory results. With coffee beans purchased from the take away we pass by so far, the result was almost equivalent, with the setting on the highest coffee grind (1/5) and full intensity of flavor/quantity of coffee (3/3).
Overall, for the money it was purchased (300€) it is very honest, and although most of it is plastic, it shows quality construction. At startup, it takes 1 minute to self-clean and as you can see in the video, it is immediately ready for use and requires minimal time to warm up, grind and make the coffee. It is also not particularly noisy, neither in the grinder nor during preparation.

I don't have much time for experiments, tests, and upgrades that someone usually does if they choose to buy a semi-automatic machine ...
It was recommended to me by a friend who has a Gaggia espresso and ice cream machine and has kept it for many years !!!
If someone asked me if it makes the best coffee I've ever had, I would definitely say no ...
With a rating of 10, however, it would definitely get an 8, but the difference is that if you search and find the blend you like, the 8 automatically becomes 10 !!!
Forget the famous coffee brands and look for freshly roasted coffee from small roasters, whose coffee is definitely of higher quality and aromatic. Personally, I prefer Guatemala varieties ...
Now I will only buy coffee outside in case of need and not with pleasure because I know it will not be as nice as at home.
As for the ease of production, here the machine gets excellent as you simply press a button and the espresso drips ... I have programmed the top button for 13 seconds while the bottom one for 18 ...
The amount of coffee is always the same, so depending on whether I want a double dose or a lighter one, I press accordingly ...
Finally, the machine is beautiful and relatively easy to clean and descale. Also, when I cleaned it from the inside one day, I saw a label and it said Made in Italy ... I think that's important.

I have been using it for 2 months now (4-5 coffees per day).
It has solved my hands, I just fill it with water when needed and empty the basket.
The coffee it produces is better than many stores out there.
Due to the area and water hardness, I chose to use the water filter as well.

I have had this machine for about 8 years. It has never needed service, only descaling at regular intervals when it gives a notification. It is very important not to delay the descaling process when the machine requests it, as the water passes through thin tubes that go through the thermoblock to heat the water, making them susceptible to clogging from minerals (all machines with thermoblocks have this sensitivity, even semi-professional machines costing over 1000 euros). It makes very good coffee, although the few options for adjusting the coffee grind on the coffee maker are a downside for me personally, as I would like it to grind a bit finer for the ideal extraction.
My settings are: the grinder on the finest setting, the extraction button set to 12-13 seconds of flow (including the pre-infusion that the machine does) and it yields about 22g of coffee beverage (at the 3-bean setting, the coffee maker grinds 10.5g of coffee, so for the ideal espresso ratio of 1:2, the ideal extraction is ~21g of coffee in under 15 seconds). With these settings, the coffee maker makes excellent coffee, far better than any capsule or automatic machine in the budget range below 500 euros.
As for the milk frothing... with the accessory on the steam wand, I have never achieved satisfactory milk frothing. However, by removing it and using only the steam wand/tube, the machine can produce decent frothed milk for cappuccinos and lattes (but of course, since it is done manually, it requires some effort and focus on frothing the milk properly in the pitcher to achieve the right consistency). There is also another steam wand accessory from Gaggia (the Gaggia Latte Art Pannarello Wand for 10 euros) that helps with better milk frothing than the default wand, in case you are using the relatively automatic adapter or in the case of manual frothing, it acts as an extension of the wand that comes out of the coffee maker to facilitate the whole process. I found it through Google in a Greek store, as none of the affiliated stores with Skroutz have it. Also, for those who are not familiar with good hot frothed milk, it is recommended to use full-fat milk and it should be cold from the refrigerator so that it has time to enrich with microbubbles before reaching the desired temperature of 65 degrees.
Finally, I would like to mention two drawbacks of the machine:
1) It would be good to have a tray under the machine, as it can sometimes drip coffee from below, which can escape the drip tray (I know that many people with this machine have the same issue, although it is to a small extent, don't expect water glasses to overflow), resulting in staining the countertop.
2) During the process of grinding coffee and discarding the puck after extraction, coffee grounds scatter inside the extraction mechanism, which is removable but needs frequent rinsing and cleaning - at least every 2-3 weeks to avoid coffee grounds getting moldy due to moisture.Anyone who takes care of the machine will not have a problem.
In response to the question of whether I would buy this machine again, I would do it with my eyes closed and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to easily and quickly enjoy good and high-quality espresso.

As an owner of the Gaggia Brera and Gaggia Classic 2018/19, and as an occasional user of the Saeco Lirika and a Nespresso machine, I am tempted to compare the Gaggia Brera in terms of the final result: 1) much better extraction level compared to a capsule machine, 2) similar extraction level to a high-end Saeco super-automatic machine, and 3) inferior result compared to a reputable semi-automatic machine like the Gaggia Classic. Generally, achieving a high extraction level with at least an entry-level semi-automatic machine is extremely difficult, if not impossible, for a super-automatic machine, no matter how good it is.

After a month of use, I am completely satisfied. Of course, I have not tried the nozzle. The previous machine was an Ariete Retro combined with a Delonghi grinder, okay they were worth their money but they have nothing to do with the Brera. Grind, weigh, measure seconds, now I just press a button... and the coffee is ready. Although it is still very early for a review, I decided to quickly share my first impressions. Easy and quick setup, and even easier enjoyment (you press standby, get dressed, come back and put a cup, press the extraction button, wash your face and leave with coffee in hand). I come from using a Gaggia Baby with a grinder, and the difference is evident from the first coffee.
On the first press, it didn't produce any coffee (just plain water), but on the second one, it was good. It requires adjustment (finding the ideal grind for the coffee you will use, the ideal amount of water, etc). It has "adaptive learning," so it needs its time to produce coffee as it should.
I see many reviews (not here, generally on the internet) saying "compared to the X coffee machine, it doesn't make as good coffee." Obviously, it doesn't make perfect coffee, you bought a machine for 400-500 euros, and you expect coffee comparable to a machine worth 5000-10000 euros (and more)? Plus, it has a self-cleaning system at startup and when it goes into standby mode.
Now let's look at some general and essential details. First of all, the quality of the coffee and the taste depend solely on our choice of coffee variety. The machine will do its job as it knows how to. The rest is up to us.
Certainly, the coffee will be superior to a capsule but not comparable to a coffee shop, and that's normal because we're talking about machines worth thousands of euros and with different processes, such as grinding grams, etc.
Furthermore, do not use oily varieties like dark roast, and especially avoid using Lavazza coffee, as there is a high risk of clogging the grinder. Prefer single-origin coffees and light or medium roast.
For the quality of the coffee and the durability of the machine, pay attention to the following: Firstly, as I mentioned, the variety of coffee matters. Secondly, use only filtered water, not tap water, and for better coffee taste and to prevent minerals from entering the mechanism.
Every week, remove the side mechanism and clean it only with water. Every six months, descale it with the special cleaning product. You will find instructions with a video online.
Another positive aspect is that it also makes ground coffee from the side grinder.
Now, for the negatives, there are a few. As I mentioned earlier, the taste and quality depend on the coffee variety. The only thing is that it doesn't make ristretto, and the smallest dosage is essentially a double shot. The water tank is not as big as the waste container, but it is very convenient because it is in the front, unlike other machines that have it at the back, which is useful if you have it close to a wall.
Now, about the milk froth and cappuccino. Firstly, no machine can give you the perfect milk froth, which is why those with automatic mechanisms first add the milk and then pour the coffee. Also, the quality of the froth depends on the quality of the milk we use.
As for the noise, it is much quieter than I expected.
If you want a negative compared to some others, it is that it doesn't have a water filter inside. It would certainly be good to have one because it helps with the quality of the coffee and the protection against minerals, even if we only use filtered water.
Finally, it would be good to have two things: a 2-year warranty from the dealership and to make sure it is truly of Italian origin because there are imports from other countries like Romania. The only thing that is certain is that it is worth every euro!
