The fourth poetry book by Euripides Garantoudis (preceded by the books "Metheortio or Lyrica. Poem in 33 parts", Athens, Kastaniotis Editions 2009; "I Dreamed of Genova", Athens, Melani Editions 2011 and "The Collaborators", Athens, Typothito - Lalon Ydor 2015) includes 59 poems distributed in four synthetic units: "The Dyad", "Tetrakopos (After the Helmsman)", "Of the Perfect Hunger (Poems of Philological Realism)" and "Mater Terra". The book is distinguished by its thematic diversity. Thus, the twenty-four poems of the first unit "The Dyad" promote the lyrical love poetry that began with Metheortio or Lyrica, the seven sonnets of the unit "Mater Terra" continue the line of the sonnets dedicated to family members in the unit "The Holy Family" of the Collaborators, while the unit "Of the Perfect Hunger (Poems of Philological Realism)" completes the homonymous unit also of the Collaborators. Also, The double dyad is distinguished for its polymorphism, as the form of the poems ranges from strictly metric verse in sonnets to free verse and prose-shaped poems. As in his previous books, especially in the Collaborators, Garantoudis develops in the unit "Of the Perfect Hunger (Poems of Philological Realism)" the dialogical, often ironic, relationship with prominent landmarks of modern Greek poetic tradition, from the era of Solomos and Kalvos to his contemporary Greek poets.
