It deals with and connects Ayurveda, Chakras, and Marma.
Ayurveda is considered by many scholars and scientists as the oldest healing art. It has its roots in Vedic tradition and dates back to around 5000 BCE.
In Sanskrit, "Ayur" means life and "Veda" means science. Thus, a free translation of Ayurveda would be the art of science and life.
According to Ayurveda, the body is composed of five elements:
ether, air, fire, water, and earth.
The combinations of these five elements form the Doshas.
These are:
VATA, PITTA, and KAPHA.
These exist in a unique combination in each individual, making them unique. They indicate the body type, character, and behavior. They determine health, diseases, diet, digestion, taste, smell, and many other aspects of a person's personality.
In Sanskrit, Chakra means wheel.
The main Chakras are seven and function as gateways for universal energy. This energy is introduced and transformed within each Chakra and then sent to the parts of the body located in the closest area to each Chakra (organs or nervous plexuses).
Marma points are 107 and are scattered throughout the body.
A cell of the body is considered a point of intersection between matter and consciousness because intelligence resides in every cell. Thus, the body and mind meet not only in the brain but everywhere. Some of these points are particularly vital. These points are the Marma points and are divided into groups.
Marma points are considered vital for maintaining the balance of the whole body, toning the circulatory, lymphatic, and nervous systems.
By stimulating them, both the physical and mental state of the individual are improved.
This manual guides the reader to find:
- Their dominant Dosha, how to balance it, which dietary principles soothe an imbalanced Dosha, how to prevent or act on a manifested disease.
- The characteristics of the Chakras and how they are connected to diseases if negatively affected.
- How the Chakras are connected to the Marma points and the Doshas.
Above and beyond all this, the fact that this manual is the result of in-depth study of many other related books and years of application of the relevant therapy, we believe that it will open paths for deeper exploration and may be the catalyst for the beginning of a new journey for the reader.
