Description

Rear tire of motorcycle Anakee Adventure of the company Michelin. It is suitable for on-off-road driving, meaning it can be used both on the road (asphalt) and off-road routes. It should be noted that tires of this type are a compromise for both uses.

Its dimensions are 150/70-17. That is, it has a width of 150mm, a profile of 70, and can be mounted on a 17" rim. The profile in tires, meaning the height of the tire's sidewall, is always referred to as a clean number without a unit of measurement as it is a percentage of the width. For example, a 180/55 tire has a width of 180mm and a profile of 55, meaning it has a profile of 180 x 0.55 = 99mm.

The load index and the speed index are two other important characteristics of tires. Specifically, the load index is the maximum load under which the tires are expected to operate properly and is described by an integer number, which corresponds to kilograms, while the speed index is the maximum speed under which the tires are expected to operate properly and is described by a letter from the English alphabet, which corresponds to kilometers per hour. It should be noted that the maximum kilograms, corresponding to the load index, are referred to per tire.

Note: The maximum weight increases proportionally with the load index number, meaning that the larger the number, the greater the maximum operating weight of the tire. Similarly, the maximum speed increases as the letter of the speed index "increases", meaning that the speed index "S" corresponds to a lower speed than that of the "V" index.

In this case, the tire is 70V, meaning that the load index and the speed index are 70 and V respectively.

The TL marking comes from the initials of the words Tubeless Tyres. Tires bearing this marking do not require an inner tube.

I have them for 2 months, I am very satisfied both in the rain and on dry roads... Expensive but worth its money

    • I would buy them again

Excellent tire. Replaced the Tourance on my 1150gs two years ago. At first, I was skeptical because the Tourance was very good, but the EXP that was available at the time didn't impress me, so the Adventure was the only choice. It warms up easily, holds incredibly well even in wet conditions, and gives you confidence. The bike was sold and the tires were still in very good condition. Additionally, it is aesthetically pleasing, unlike the 90/10 tires that are available and resemble track tires. They will soon be installed on my new bike

I don't know why, but they slip... I will buy something else when it's time for a change.
