The electric vertical grill, from the company Clatronic, is suitable for grilling gyros, kebabs, chicken, and skewers (6 positions) without fats. It consists of a high-quality stainless steel oven with a 360° rotating base frame and is equipped with an easy-to-use ON / OFF switch.
The grill features a vertical frame constructed halfway around the unit and has high-quality heating metal that provides perfect grilling temperature and heats evenly. Thanks to the vertical grilling position, the fat drips directly into the stainless steel collection tray. Easy to clean, as all detachable steel parts are dishwasher safe.

I mainly bought it for gyros. It does its job just fine. The gyros is comparable, if not better than the one you buy. It can hold up to about 3 kilograms of meat. It takes about 30-40 minutes to start cutting. Then, as the meat is cooking, the time between cuts gradually decreases. Overall, it will take about 3 hours to cook and cut all the meat. It serves 8 or more people.
If there's something that concerns me, it's the attachment at the top, which sometimes doesn't seem very sturdy. However, it hasn't caused me any problems so far. (Update: I noticed that the problem mainly occurs with the skewer, which has thick pieces of meat. If the skewer is fully loaded, these pieces gather and push upwards during cooking, causing the attachment to struggle and occasionally come off. So, it's good to leave a 1-2 centimeter margin on the skewer).
[Some "secrets" for gyro beginners: Prefer pork neck and belly (boneless for both). Alternate them on the skewer (one slice of neck and one slice of belly cut in half, placing the pieces diagonally). Cut off any excess on the sides (basically, to prevent it from touching the heating elements). The marinade is what gives the gyro its distinct flavor. Everyone uses their preferred ingredients. Personally, I use oil, vinegar, mustard, salt, pepper, and oregano as a base. Beyond that, I prefer smoked and sweet paprika (and a little bit of hot), powdered onion, thyme, sumac, a little bit of powdered garlic, a little bit of allspice, and a tiny bit of cinnamon. Leave the meat in the marinade for at least 4 hours in the refrigerator. However, you will get better results if you leave it for 12 hours or more].
Moving on:
- It grills chicken nicely (medium to small size). It cooks in about 1½ hours. It serves up to 4 people.
- Short skewer. Decent, but definitely not like charcoal grilling. It cooks in about 1-1½ hours. It serves 3-4 people, depending on how thick the skewer is.
- Souvlaki. I don't recommend it. Because they cook slowly, they dry out. I think skewers are more suitable for kebabs and grilled vegetables.
- Kokoretsi. The same applies as for the short skewer.
P.S.: Make sure to cover the base and the small tray of the skewer with aluminum foil, as well as the casing behind the heating elements, because removing the dried fats is quite difficult. Additionally, a little bit of parchment paper or paper towels in the fat collection tray helps absorb them and prevents overflow.
First of all, I want to say that I made chicken gyros with breast and thigh, which I placed crosswise, and it turned out better than at souvlaki places. The pork gyros don't excite me. Now, a chicken that was cooked for about an hour and a half and weighed around 2 kilograms, while it looked overly dry on the outside, was raw on the inside.
The next time I put chicken again, I wrapped it in parchment paper and aluminum foil, let it cook for an hour, I was interested in it being cooked internally, and then I removed the parchment paper and aluminum foil and let it cook for another hour, it turned out delicious.
Secondly: everyone writes that it is a German product, or the company is German, the product is manufactured in China. It states this on the outside of the box.
In any case, the quality of construction is excellent.
Excellent product, with a good marinade you will never eat out again. I have grilled both kebabs and souvlaki and they were perfect. I haven't tried chicken yet.
Very good, after 35 minutes you start to cut (gyro) and then every 10 - 15 minutes, the trick is not to close it and the resistance cools down. It needs an electric knife and everything is ok. The store I bought it from (pinguin) was excellent and immediate delivery in 2 days.
Very effective and well-designed device. It cooks about one kilogram of gyro in an hour and a half. The maximum capacity of gyro that I have put is about 1.8 kilograms and I consider it to be close to the max. As other users have written, the key is to cover as much as possible the parts with aluminum foil as it saves a lot of time in cleaning and keeps the parts in good condition.

The heating elements are far from the center of the rotisserie, resulting in the meat being cooked slowly when it is finished or when it is initially small/limited.
I haven't tried it yet, but I believe that if you cover it with aluminum foil and close it, the above issue with the cooking will be somewhat resolved.
Normally it would deserve 4 and a half stars, but there is no such option. However, because it is the only small household rotisserie machine, it will get a solid 5 stars!

Very good product but it has a major drawback, it does not have an adjustment to bring the meat closer to the resistances as it cooks and you cut. So after the first cuts, the gyro-doner is not cut well-done.

German company and quality construction! All parts that come into contact with the meat are stainless steel, of course. It gets dirty very little and if you wash it immediately, it cleans very easily. Of course, you can also throw it in the dishwasher.
I am thinking of getting a second one - the sure thing is that I will go to the ironworker to make 1-2 more skewers so that I can make 2-3 gyro sticks and have them in the freezer.

What I will simply say.... if you have a good meat slicer, you will never eat gyros outside again!!! It may seem time-consuming to you, but I liked that I was cutting and eating, cutting and eating... without falling face down afterwards and... gaining weight.
