The Coroner is a lawyer, in his fifties, with a famous, busy actress wife and an eleven-year-old daughter whom he raises almost on his own. Lia is a judge, in her forties, dedicated to her career, with a reputation for being extremely strict and uncompromising, and single.

They often come into conflict in the courtrooms, always maintaining, however, the strict protocol of this specific space that requires lawyers and judges to maintain strictly professional relationships with each other.

Due to a twist of fate, they are trapped for a few hours in the basement of the Thessaloniki Courthouse after a bomb explosion. The events that follow lead to a gradual stripping of the soul, a revelation of the masks that people construct to survive within social and family conventions. A strange love begins to emerge, without either of them having tried for it.

The two sides of human beings, the truly human, vulnerable, tender, free side and the harsh, detached, the mask-weapon in the demands of life, clash. Which of the two will prevail? Which will be condemned? What will ultimately be the verdict?
