The present 3rd edition of the work "Criminal Code - Article Interpretation" became necessary due to the plethora of laws (4249/2014, 4254/2014, 4258/2014, 4262/2014, 4267/2014, 4268/2014, 4274/2014, 4285/2014, 4312/2014, 4315/2014, 4322/2015, 4337/2015, 4356/2015, 4411/2016, 4443/2016, 4478/2017, 4509/2017, 4531/2018, 4571/2018 - Government Gazette A '186/30.10.2018) that intervened between the publication of the 2nd edition and the publication of the present edition, which laws brought extensive and substantial changes to many articles of the Criminal Code. With this in mind, the work has now been updated with the latest legislative developments and enriched with selected recent case law, bibliography, and articles.

The "Criminal Code", an elegant and luxurious edition, aims on the one hand to assist and consolidate the scientific knowledge of Criminal Law, and on the other hand to effectively transform it into practice. The content of this work, which is the product of collective work, is decisively determined by the need to serve scientific completeness. This explains the fact that all the theoretical and jurisprudential opinions formulated so far find their place in the pages of the book.

The relevant material is presented categorized according to the essential concepts of each article under examination, significantly assisted by the use of footnotes. It is mainly based on the most recent case law and (general and specific) bibliography and articles, while the interpretive approach of each article, drawn from all the above sources, is exhaustive. Specifically, the relevant article of the Criminal Code is presented in article-by-article interpretation (within a gray background to distinguish it from the theoretical analysis), followed by the specific bibliography-articles, then the provisions related to the examined article, and finally the interpretation accompanied, as mentioned above, by useful footnotes that assist the user in quickly locating the topic of interest.

The work is supplemented with a general bibliography table as well as an alphabetical index. It is a comprehensive aid in every aspect for legal professionals and anyone involved in the application of criminal law.
