In a future so real and close that it could be the present, the following paradox begins to occur: When women sleep, they wrap themselves in something that looks like a cocoon and... they never wake up again. If someone tries to tear the web, they react with unimaginable violence.

In the small town of Dooling, the virus spreads in a women's prison, affecting all the inmates except one, Eve Black. Is Eve a medical anomaly that needs to be studied or a demon that needs to be killed?
