"Life is a tightrope without a safety net below," wrote the mentally suffering poet Giorgos Falelakis.

However, this book seeks "safety nets". It examines through the sources of specialized scientists but also ordinary people - often through pedestrian speech and poetry of people with psychiatric experience - if there are indeed any "safety nets". And the opposite: what are the factors that envelop us in the nets of disappearance, that harm health, that affect expectations, that ultimately deprive us of the most precious good: life.

The "Selections for Longevity", in the book "The Soul and the Body", concern us all. Through a holistic approach, which touches on the human being as a biopsychosocial entity, the "Selections" shed light on the various aspects of our daily lives. Human relationships, drugs, diseases, genes, diet, self-defense, thoughts of immortality, are just some of the topics of the book. They all shed light on the big question: What ultimately matters in our lives?
