Each exercise in the Workbook is in perfect correspondence with the respective step in the Student's Book. Grammar, vocabulary, and expressive means are reinforced through a variety of exercises, while there are also sections where the student discovers grammar rules on their own, comparative explanations of vocabulary with corresponding exercises, as well as systematic practice of written expression. The instructions accompanying the exercises are bilingual, so that students can understand the requirements of the homework exercises without assistance. 

The Workbook offers vocabulary practice and a page with grammar review at the end of each chapter, while every three chapters there are preparation exercises for the Fit in Deutsch 1 exam and for understanding written texts. 

At the end, there are worksheets for the pair oral expression exercises from the Student's Book as well as a list of irregular verbs. Integrated into the Workbook is also a CD-ROM containing interactive exercises in grammar, vocabulary and expressive means, pronunciation, as well as the listening texts for the preparation of the Fit in Deutsch 1 exam.
