The field of Political Science in terms of academic and research production in our country historically coincides with the emergence and political hegemony of PASOK. This volume attempts to examine the various mobilizing myths of the socialist collective subject, as shaped by this political movement and its evolution, the Change and Modernization, national independence and the memorandum submission, anti-imperialism and Europeanization, the Uncommitted and social democracy. "Pasokification", before becoming an international scientific term in Political Science and specifically in comparative political analysis, as well as in European social democracy, concerns the domestic experience, as for the first time in Greek social formation after the end of World War II, a mass party of the socialist Left occupies governmental power and comes into direct contact with the state, systemic economic constraints, and an increasingly dense international environment structured in regional integrations that are constitutionally hostile to projects of social transformation in a socialist direction. The domestic process of "pasokification" led to the "pasokification" with the international significance that the concept now has in the field of Political Science and concerns the case of the electoral collapse of a hegemonic party.
