An amazing turntable in its category (<300€). It surpasses the rega P1 (>400€) in terms of build quality and sound characteristics. It has the ability to change the cartridge (ortofon), which gives it expanded capabilities. Indeed, it is lightweight, but as long as it is placed on a stable surface, there is no problem. It has three feet, like most new turntables (I also have the Rega P3, which has a similar support). Of course, the sound quality depends on all the components involved, from the stylus to the ears, so there cannot be an objective opinion. Subjectively, I can say that it provides satisfactory dynamic sound across the entire range, perhaps with a slight emphasis on the low end. The only negatives I could give are that it is difficult to adjust the head pressure and the belt, which, if not careful, can come off when removing the record since it wraps around the platter. Therefore, if you have large fingers, there is no chance of not removing the belt, resulting in a brief (or long if you are clumsy) period of frustration until you put it back on.
Want a low-budget audiophile turntable? Bam. The Project E is for you.

Almost a year that I have it. Perhaps the best turntable in this price range (I got it for 250 euros from Thomann with the preamp version). The Ortofon OM 5e is quite decent, definitely better than the audio technica cartridges that come with every cheap turntable (yes, even the lp120). Handmade, high-quality, elegant, simple machine, it does what it promises. I mainly bought it because I needed a turntable in this price range urgently since my old one stopped working.

Regarding the cons, the comments I read from other people are valid, it only has 3 legs and it's LIGHT. It requires great care and measured movements during use as it can be easily moved. I happened to open the lid while a record was playing (I didn't open it forcefully), and due to its low weight, the whole machine moved slightly, the tonearm slipped and left a nice scratch on Twisted Sister's Stay Hungry. However, for me, the belt has only come off accidentally about 5 times a year, it's not as much of a problem as others mention if you make the right movements.

In terms of technical aspects, the cartridge in my device was not perfectly aligned, but the tracking force was correct. It is possible to upgrade the stylus since this specific Ortofon cartridge accepts other styluses from the series (OM10, 20, 30, etc.). The counterweight can be adjusted (caution! it does not have force measurement indications), which means that one can also use other cartridges with different weights (someone who has an electronic force gauge**), but with similar height and tracking force as the original cartridge (antiskate and VTA are standard and do not change). My next project will be to try a nagaoka or 2M cartridge.

In conclusion, I may be wrong, but I really don't understand why someone who wants to enjoy good sound on a low budget would go for more expensive options. For me, the sound is 95% cartridge. This particular turntable is a very good choice in terms of price, it has upgradeability options, and it comes from the factory with a good cartridge (literally the best stylus you can find on the market at the lowest possible price). To truly notice a difference in sound, one would have to go for prices of 500+ (and that's being conservative), but even then, they won't notice much difference close to the 500 mark. The only motivation I can see for someone to choose, for example, a mediocre audio technica close to the 300 mark (worse sound) is purely for usability and greater weight. I understand that for some people, ease of use is everything. That's my opinion in the last paragraph.

    I hope I helped

An excellent turntable for someone who wants something of quality, as the turntable features an Ortofon cartridge (one of the most well-known brands in the field). One downside is that you need to be careful not to pull the record and remove the belt. It doesn't require any "setup" since it comes ready from the factory. It has a nice construction, but whoever ends up buying it should be careful because it has 3 bases instead of 4 and it needs a good support so that you don't move the turntable when you try to open the lid.

On the plus side, compared to other ones on the market, the lid is included in the price/package and so is the anti-static brush.

However, as soon as I assembled it and put on a record, it played perfectly. I've had it for 5 days already and I've thoroughly enjoyed it. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants something in this price range and doesn't want to exceed it, as higher-end options like Rega/Stanton significantly increase the budget. In fact, I chose it over getting an Audio-Technica one because its construction and simplicity met my needs 100%.

This review is about the colour: Red

I reviewed the review after 1 month of use.

    Positive points:

    1. Nice appearance.
    2. Good Ortofon cartridge.
    3. Good quality connection cables.
    4. Ready to play.

    Negative points:

    1. There is suspicion of poor anti-skating of the device, fortunately only when lowering the tonearm at the beginning of the record until the needle enters the grooves.
    2. Occasionally, there are speed issues.
    3. Care is needed when removing the record as it may also remove the belt.
    4. Care is needed when lifting the cover as it does not lift easily and may move the entire turntable due to its low weight.
    5. The spindle seems to be a bit thick, as some vinyl records are difficult to insert and then difficult to remove.

Also, it does not have a preamp, so a phono input is needed on the amplifier.

Nice construction for its price. Easy to use, very good performance, fully manual without unnecessary automations. Ready to play, you just need to place the belt
