I wrote this small work, wanting to contribute, to the best of my abilities, to the process of National Collective Memory, for a crime against Humanity, namely the Genocide of the Greeks of Pontus, Thrace and Asia Minor, which has remained unpunished, in violation of International Law and the sense of Justice that exists within the soul of every human being.
All the stories recorded are true, and I have adapted them to the entire fiction of the work.
I am one of the Founding Members of the Friends of the Archive of the Greek Refugees Association and I had the opportunity to learn the Truth from the Testimonies of Refugees, as well as their Descendants.
I considered it my duty, as a Human being and as a Greek, to tell the Truth with its true etymological meaning A-LETHE, so that Historical Events that concern a huge chapter of the History of our Greek Nation will not be forgotten, silenced or distorted, with the ultimate goal of preventing such Mistakes and Crimes from happening again in the future!
