Well.. two different tread patterns from the PZ4 ..
As you can see in the photos, they have differences..
When I wore the tread that has the Z-shaped edge, it was the best.. especially in wet conditions, it had incredible grip..
I decided to put on PZ4 again and I see a different tread.. and different ratings from Pirelli themselves. Let's talk about PZ5 for example.. why do you call it PZ4 again.. we're talking about a different tread and different rubber.
They made the tire the worst there is..
It slips in the rain so much that not even the old worn-out PZ4s I had slipped like that.. not even the Chinese ones I have on another car..
You have to drive and go cautiously and fear that no one suddenly stops and you need to brake..
In dry conditions, it's average and a little bit more..
But it has a problem with water..
Finally, I have done 1200 km with the tires.. and on a railroad track that I pass by twice every day, the tire got punctured..
Disappointment.. they will be thrown away after they are torn.

I have been wearing them for a year now (since Apr 22) after the Pilot Sport 4.
Excellent directional stability. Better steering feel, more information, and confidence in turns.
Very good grip on dry surfaces, especially in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gear, and excellent lateral grip in turns. (Strong front-wheel drive)
I never hesitate to push them, the Michelin tires needed more warm-up time empirically, otherwise they would slip initially

This review is about a variation of the product

The tire from the moment it was installed was terrible. It slips everywhere on dry and wet surfaces. I feel like I have put on Chinese tires. Unacceptable because I had the previous p zero which were reliable and exemplary until the last moment. Installed on a golf gti mk5 for 5000 kilometers with my heart pounding whether I will stay on or off the road. The ad08 r tires, which were mirrors towards the end, did not slip like this!! A big disappointment from a driver who has changed many pairs of tires with this particular car. I hope I am the only one who faced this issue.

I put them on a Renault with a power of over 270 horsepower. So far, I have tried Michelin PS4, PS3, and PS2 in size 18 inches, but in 235/40/18. I put the PZ4 in 225/40/18 to be in full alignment with the manufacturer's options, and I must say I was amazed. Excellent steering and incredible grip. Today I drove in heavy rain on the highway at high speeds, and I was surprised by the complete lack of hydroplaning on the water puddles on the road. I probably put the best tire available in 2021 in this category. I was biased towards Pirelli, but without any personal experience, only based on others' experiences. I completely reconsider!

    P.S.
I expected them to be noisy in this size, but I was proven wrong. The comfort is almost the same as the 235/40/18 PS4.

    Update 13/5/2023
After 2 years and more than 15000 km, I have the following to say:
The wear on the front tires is significant despite the low mileage. There are no bald spots, but the tread thickness has decreased. However, this also reflects the excellent grip of the tire, which is still maintained today, so it is natural for a front-wheel-drive car with 270 horsepower and 440Nm of torque on the dyno.
The noise levels are good, and hydroplaning is reduced.
The rear tires are still like new...
I will probably buy 2 front tires for the winter or try putting the rear tires in the front.
So, I confirm my initial positive assessment that this is an exceptional tire!

    Update 15/3/2024
I eventually replaced them at 19000 km with Goodyear F1 Asymmetric 6.
The PZ4 tires are very good, but they wore out in relatively few kilometers.
The Asymmetric 6 tires show great performance in initial impressions and are also cheaper.
This ultimately led me not to choose Pirelli again and to remove one star..

I have had it for 3 months.....
A BIG negative is that nobody mentions the consumption....
DRINKS DRINKS DRINKS A LOT A LOT A LOT....
    Driving is calm....
Owner of a Leon sc fr 150hp factory....
I have increased the pressure from 32 front and 29 rear to 36 front and rear....
The consumption has decreased but of course all the vibrations pass to the cabin....

The best for UHP tire. They were installed on an Astra H GTC TURBO as a replacement for the Dunlop RT2 and it's like day and night. Incredible grip once they reach temperature, excellent performance on wet roads, and not noisy at all. Hard sidewalls and very good steering feedback. Only time will tell in terms of durability, but with a treadwear of 280, I believe they will easily last 30,000 kilometers.
