Written somewhere in the 6th or 5th century BC, the treatise, which guides a general on how to manage his army under any circumstances, whether offensive or defensive, is said to have been one of the reasons for the great victories of Mao Zedong, the Viet Cong, and even Napoleon himself. Today, the advice of its author is applied not only by military personnel, but also in the fields of international relations, entrepreneurship, and even in the reader's relationships with others in everyday life.
