The mythical entity of Minotaur and Labyrinth encompasses some of the most interesting and complex aspects of Greek and not only mythical thought. It is a plot of narratives that has crossed, at least as far as we know, over four thousand years of civilization and survives to this day through constantly enriched interpretive approaches. Minotaur was not a terrifying monster. He was the "Divine-Human" Mystic. Labyrinth was the dance hall of the "Divine-Nymph" Ariadne, but also a building or cave in which Initiations were performed with many difficult initiatory stages that the Mystic had to pass through as a victor and champion. The author, through the study of the sources and traditions referring to the rituals performed in the ancient initiations, penetrates into the inner sanctums of the Labyrinths and reveals the reliefs of the labyrinthine liturgy, the extensions of which spread to the ends of the inhabited world and permeated art, literature, folklore, and religion, except for Christianity, the symbolism of which adopted the Labyrinth, giving it a philosophical meaning.
