In this book, the reader has the opportunity for an introductory approach to significant philosophical interpretations of History, formulated from the times of ancient Greece to those of European modernity. Starting with the formulation of the basic questions of the Philosophy of History and locating its origins in ancient Greek literature, the author continues with theological readings of History such as those of Augustine and Bossuet, and after a brief journey through influential thinkers of the Renaissance and the European Enlightenment, finally focuses his analysis on the critical view of the philosophical-historical compositions of Kant, Herder, Hegel, and Marx.
