For those consumers who write that it doesn't foam, yes, this particular product does not foam because it is NOT a foam cleanser, if it were, it would say so. This is a CLEANSER CREAM, meaning cream, it does not advertise that it is a foam and it is not, so I think that the negative comments regarding whether it is a foam or not can mislead some people. CeraVe also produces foam cleansers. However, for those who prefer foam cleansers, if you do some research, you will find that foam cleansers are not recommended by experts because they have higher alkalinity and are therefore harsher and remove the skin's natural oils, making it dry. This particular product indeed does not dry out the skin at all (and I have quite dry skin), it is very gentle and leaves the skin soft, but in my opinion, it does not remove makeup or sunscreen well. I do double cleansing, but I usually use the cleanser first and then micellar water or natural toner or glycolic acid. The previous cleanser I used in recent years, again a cream cleanser, removed makeup much better, but I wanted to try this one because of the CeraVe name and because it is 1000 ML at a very affordable price. Another serious reason is that it has a pump, which makes the product very convenient to use. It will last me a very long time, so I don't know yet if I will buy it again. I hope I helped.
Although most reviews are positive regarding the hydration it provides, it causes intense dryness and painful stings on my skin that last, even if I apply a rich moisturizer.
It cleans, it cleans but it doesn't lather at all, which seems strange compared to what we are used to and that's why you might feel forced to use more product. Its texture is like a hair conditioner (it doesn't lather, it's thicker, it doesn't dilute very easily) nevertheless, it leaves a feeling of cleanliness and freshness.
While the description mentions normal skin, the packaging mentions normal and dry skin, if they had written this, I would not have chosen it
The best !!! I have dry skin so cleansers tend to "pull" my skin..this one doesn't pull at all and cleanses the skin deeply. I wouldn't recommend it for makeup removal, but for facial cleansing it is ideal
Having dry skin, it is by far the best cleanser I have ever tried!
Since I started using it (over a year now), I stopped having dry skin, it never caused irritation and actually provides hydration.
I use it daily and I can say that it leaves a very nice feeling and the skin looks hydrated afterwards. It has no scent. I don't know if it removes heavy makeup because I hardly wear any.
Extremely mediocre product. It doesn't even remove sunscreen and moisturize as it claims, and it does create small white pimples that disappear the same day or the next, which means it doesn't effectively cleanse. Maybe I prefer it for the body as a gentle shower gel.
I have very sensitive skin, but this particular product irritated me badly and left intense redness on my face that burned. It is practically a cream, it does not foam at all. Perhaps the reason this happened to me is because it contains a high concentration of preservative (phenoxyethanol), as it is the fourth ingredient (!). I do not recommend it for sensitive skin, I prefer the foaming cleanser from the same line a thousand times. For very sensitive combination skin, I also like the effaclar foaming gel from LRP, and the gentle facial cleanser from Vanicream (from iherb).
Absolutely satisfied with this particular product. I will buy it again. It leaves a feeling of cleanliness and elasticity without pulling the skin. If you want to foam the product, put a minimal amount on wet hands, rub, and the product foams. When I say minimal, less than half a pump.
When I first used it, I thought it was broken. I had never used a cleanser with such a texture before. It doesn't foam at all. If you use it to remove your makeup, you will need 2-3 pumps (if you have heavy makeup, two washes).
Having been used to cleansers that produce a lot of foam, this feels extremely strange to me.
It literally feels like washing your face with moisturizing milk.
It is a very good product for dry skin. It does what it promises - cleanses and moisturizes at the same time. As for the comments about the foam, what helps is to first work it in your hands, it foams slightly and then apply it to your face. For simple everyday cleansing, it is perfect. For makeup removal, I would recommend something else that breaks down makeup better, such as a cleansing balm.
I am very satisfied, it has matched my skin and my needs very well. I don't mind at all that it doesn't foam, on the contrary, I like that it is creamy. It cleanses gently and effectively. For now, I won't change it!
It is good as a product, I would buy it again, the only negative thing for me was that it didn't foam to make me feel like it cleans. However, I recommend it if you like cream-type cleansers.
For those who have sensitive skin, it is worth trying, it is very effective.
(Just needs a large quantity because it does not foam)
It is simply a very good product!.. On allergic oily & acne-prone skin with localized seborrheic dermatitis, it did a pretty good job with daily sea baths + partial sun exposure!!.. without the subsequent usual irritation and redness!!..
Very good! It cleans gently, I even use it on my sensitive eyes and it doesn't bother me at all! It doesn't "pull" the skin after washing like others... it sits well on my oily skin, takes longer to remove oiliness
When I first got it, it worked perfectly!
The second time, they completely changed the soap and it was just disgusting!
If they go back to the previous formula, I would definitely buy it again!
It is in cream form and does not foam at all. It does not remove sunscreen or makeup, which for me is a big drawback. While it does not pull the skin, it also does not remove anything. I prefer the foam from the series
It's great for cleansing. I have very sensitive skin and have been seeing dermatologists for various issues for years. They have given me a whole pharmacy of facial cleansers and they all do the same job. This one is cheap and easily found. Also, I use it on my scalp besides my face (I don't have hair), and it has helped a lot with the folliculitis on my scalp.
It is not a foaming cleanser but it leaves the face clean and moisturized. I have sensitive skin and it is the only one that does not irritate and pull my skin.
If you have dry or sensitive skin, it is ideal. Very light and moisturizing, without fragrances. You should know that it doesn't foam, it's just a "cream" that you spread with a little water, massaging it and then rinsing it off. At first, it seemed strange to me that it didn't foam, but once you get used to the texture, you won't easily change it. Great value for money, especially the larger packages.
For those who love cleansing soaps
It's perfect!!
It doesn't dehydrate the skin at all. Personally, I also remove eye makeup with it.
Its texture is like milk, but when it comes into contact with water, it creates a subtle foam.
I highly recommend it without reservation!!!
It is by far the best, and the reasons are as follows!
1) After use, it does not dry out the skin at all.
2) It does not have any fragrance, which is very important! The fragrance used by other companies offers nothing, it is harmful and allergenic for the skin!
3) It does not foam, but it cleans deeply with a small amount of product.
4) It does not contain "fruit" acids and is suitable for use with retinol or tretinoin after cleansing for those with acne.
5) Its ingredients are very honest, and the preservatives used are necessary and minimal compared to other companies!
6) The packaging is huge and economical
It really does what it promises in my opinion. I like that it doesn't make me feel like my face is really clean
It is just what you need for dry skin, just if you have makeup on, it is good to do a double cleansing before washing your face with this product. It does not foam, which may bother some people. The packaging is quite large :)
Very good facial cleanser. I have oily skin and it removes the oil without dehydrating the skin!
Very hydrating facial cleanser. I have been using it for a while now and even though I have oily, acne-prone skin, it cleanses it very well without drying it out or causing breakouts. I also use it on my body several times with very good results. It has no fragrance (a positive for me) and unnecessary extra ingredients. It does exactly what it says on the packaging
Good soap, moisturizing but only for the face. It wrongly states that it is for face and body. On the body, you have the feeling that you are applying cream and that it does not clean.
I use this specific cleanser only for my face and I am completely satisfied! I feel my skin very clean and at the same time hydrated, without feeling any tightness. I use it in the morning and at night. The quantity lasts for months and its price is very economical. At first, I had difficulty getting used to its texture, which does not foam like other cleansers but rather resembles a lotion, but now I have no problem.
It is a mild cleanser that does not dry out the skin and cleanses it adequately. Suitable for individuals with dry skin (or individuals using some form of retinoid therapy). It has no fragrance. It may leave the feeling that it does not cleanse, but it cleanses normally. We are just accustomed as consumers to cleansers that contain soap and completely strip the skin.
