    The translation is not reliable e.g. in John 1:1. It translates saying that the son was born from the father and that he is like a separate god from the father without emphasizing their unity. There are also many comments - enrichments (by the author now) that are not in parentheses and you think they are translations from the scriptures. So sometimes I read comments or enrichments of the author without even knowing it. I would not recommend it especially for a first contact with the New Testament, better an older translation
