Reviews

  • I am new to the experience with contact lenses.

The 1st brand of lenses did not fit well in my eye from a well-known chain of stores and the lenses came out of my eye while I was driving.

I stopped at the nearest optical store and they gave me these lenses. They are the most comfortable I have ever worn, they do not move, they do not cause dry eyes, and they do not bother me. It's like I'm not wearing lenses. I won't change them for anything in the 4 months I've been wearing lenses and I will continue with them of course...

A characteristic is that they are so comfortable that even if you haven't worn lenses for several days (we're talking about 7+ days), it's like no time has passed, whereas in other cases it takes about 3 hours to get used to them again and not feel them in your eye.

Unfortunately, the worst lenses I have ever purchased. After 1 hour of use, they become unbearable and it takes 2 days for my eyes to recover from dryness, as exaggerated as it may sound.

I have been wearing contact lenses for 25 years and I can say that I have the experience to judge whether some lenses are good or bad. Especially since I usually wear contact lenses on a daily basis.

These specific lenses have easily the best value for money among silicone hydrogel lenses in the Greek market. They have some disadvantages compared to their competitors, which I will mention later, but they excel in oxygen permeability and price. Apart from Alcon's Day&Night lenses (which are designed for continuous use for 30 days and nights), there is no other contact lens with higher oxygen permeability. This makes them extremely comfortable for the eyes, without any problems of insufficient oxygenation (redness). As for their cost, they are cheaper than the top Acuvue Oasys lenses and at the same price as Alcon's AirOptix, despite having better material quality. Lastly, they are one of the very few contact lenses available with a curvature of 8.3, which is rare.

    Regarding the disadvantages:
    1. They are completely transparent (they do not have any color), making them difficult to see in their case.
    2. They do not have a UV filter, like the Oasys lenses, for example. And most importantly:
    3. They are not user-friendly at all, especially for inexperienced individuals. It is almost impossible to tell if the lens is inside out or not, as the difference in curvature is very small, and they easily flip inside out. As a result, it is very easy for someone to insert them (I have done it myself) inside out and experience problems from it (feeling like they are cutting, discomfort, and poor fit). I believe this explains the negative reviews this product has received. They have now added a watermark with the inscription "●3", which will appear upside down (!) if the lens is correctly placed. In my opinion, it doesn't help much, especially since it is upside down and there are no detailed instructions provided (like Oasys "123").

In conclusion, in my opinion, they are the second best and most comfortable contact lenses I have ever worn (and I have tried almost all of them), after the Day&Night lenses, which are in a different category. However, they are quite difficult to use and require a lot of attention to avoid inserting them inside out.

Unfortunately, they are far below expectations and excessively expensive for what they offer. Firstly, they dry out quite a bit. They are colorless and hard to spot. I am forced to change them earlier than a month as I constantly feel like they are "cutting" me. I tried cleaning them with 2 different solutions in case they were not compatible with the solution I use, but there was no difference. Going back to Air Optix and Meyers.

I come from the excellent 3rd generation Air Optix and Coopervision Biofinity lenses and I decided to try a new player in the same category. Its characteristics on paper are impressive. Unfortunately, I was disappointed as the fit is very poor, causing the lens to "come off" every now and then from my eyes, making it almost useless. It is also completely transparent, making it difficult to distinguish in the lens solution. Maybe it will work well for someone else, but for me, who never had any fitting problems with this specific curvature, it didn't work out. Unfortunately, the money I spent went down the drain.
