Description

Starting many years ago, when I began my study, I never imagined that I would have to deal with such a wide range of issues, with so many diverse individual interests, which concerned, more or less, every Greek and sparked lively discussions in many circles. My great satisfaction was when my book, with its first edition in 1983, received a lively response, especially from educators and politicians (to whom it was dedicated), who even considered it a useful tool and a friendly message in their arduous struggle for creating a better future, for improving Greek education and society. In fact, friends who were professors of pedagogy and sociology not only praised the book, but also recommended it to students and other acquaintances, describing it as particularly useful for the education of Greeks. [...]
Thus, after the exhaustion of the previous editions of my book, I decided to proceed with this final, supplemented, revised, and finalized form as the ultimate work of my life and as a legacy of history, which had something more to say to its compatriots, especially now that we are entering a new period of our history with our accession to the EEC and with our confrontation with equal and progressive nations, which have also contributed much and are competing to offer even more to the culture of Europe and humanity in general.
