With this work, we attempt to document that Greek translations of Romanian authors now have a rich tradition, which as endeavors were not hindered by the differences between the two languages, nor by the historical circumstances of the last century in the Balkans and Europe. Although the references included cannot and do not aspire to be complete, because the comprehensive recording of publications was not always feasible and the circulation and identification of volumes was quite difficult, we give interested parties the opportunity to discover, through translations, the common points of the history of Romanians and Greeks and the affinities of their traditions. Accurate data is presented on the translations made either directly from Romanian or from Western European languages, following the chronological/historical order of the authors and their works, with emphasis mainly on their key characteristics.
We believe that this extensive catalog will prove useful for the preparation of synthetic works and/or for its utilization by interested researchers, who will have the opportunity to refer to and freely use the bibliography we offer, developing a personal relationship with Romanian culture, and themselves evolving into carriers of its significant forms.
