I don't think there is a need for comments on the boots of the Greek army. They are made to withstand more than the feet of the person wearing them. In terms of durability and comfort, they feel like they are made of metal.
1) The type of this boot is not known for its comfort in the first few days, and after it opens, if there are any... I will let you know. In my case, it's even worse because it is low in the front and it hits my toes so much that they are permanently numb.
2) Two days after I bought them, they started losing pieces, and the sole started to open in the middle.
3) The laces have already worn out (I only wear them occasionally and I have had them for over a month now).
Honestly, it is the worst thing I have ever bought (and it has reached my hands).
I felt like I wasted €30
Greek army and minds on the bars, kids. Truly, boots of Vietnam-era technology, maybe even further back in time, made to withstand everything but also destroy the feet of the one wearing them. The sole is literally made of wood and no matter what kind of sole you put on (maybe silicone would do a better job), your foot won't be spared. For work in fields, it is durable as long as you have applied a ton of varnish on them first. For military service, knowing that you will wear them for 12 hours a day, winter or summer, it's not the best option.
Very good boot in relation always to the money they cost, they are almost like the E.S. ones, they need to be worn for 3-4 days to soften and be comfortable.
I have had them for about two months now and I am quite satisfied, especially considering their price. At first, they are very uncomfortable but gradually they become more comfortable (of course, with frequent painting). I was a little disappointed with the quality control as the right boot is swollen near the ankle, but there is no difference in the fit or comfort. They are also more suitable for work in fields or even hiking in the mountains than for everyday use.
If you know how to lace them up, the ES boots are the best and most durable thing you will wear on your feet. Yes, they are not comfortable and yes, they are heavy, but their durability is on another level. They have excellent ankle support, although you need to know how to tie them. Many people don't have the patience or knowledge to lace them properly, but those who know what they're doing keep them for a lifetime
The best thing to wear for varicose veins, varicose veins, curvature, thrombosis, sprain, and spinal displacement due to poor posture. Of course, it is the best thing available, as I see it in ages 45 to 90 in the fields, in the woods, for hunting, for coffee in the village square, for walking with the sheep, for outings in the city. And of course, all this with the rest of the Greek army, t-shirts, jackets, etc. and many more things that are unnecessary to mention here, as what concerns us is the quality, which is indeed very good, but until it wears out, it has already lost its shine. That's it. I would buy it again if it wore out, of course the first pair I have since 1990.
The boot is only good when softened with varnish and not with polish and grease. I will not do it with grease again because they became excessively soft. There was a difference when I bought them in 2018 and again in 2020, they were not the same because they took more days to soften, even up to a month, and they were excessively hard, just like the heel was not at the right height.
For my standards, they are excellent because they last me 2 years, as I have a tendency to break them, regardless of the type of boot I have purchased. They may be hard at first, but when they soften, they are perfect for me when I change and put insoles inside.
For representation, it is good to have them and so on (depending on each person's job). We don't all have the same taste, but in the end, these are what they ask for when you need to wear them on specific days
