I just bought the printer. It is excellent. I have a MacBook Air M1 and I was looking for a printer that connects to wifi and ethernet for connectivity reasons in the long run. I had a 10-year-old Samsung printer that stopped being supported and I didn't have drivers to connect it. So I ended up with this one. It connected to my wifi in 3 minutes. I did a network reset from the printer, then it found my network, I clicked connect, entered the wifi password, and it simply connected. The computer was off. I turned it on and as soon as I opened a Word file and clicked print, it immediately found the Brother printer and started printing. That simple. Perfect!!!!! No drivers or anything. And let Apple do updates - I don't need them anymore if I don't have drivers in the future. Also, when you turn it off and on again, it automatically connects to wifi and is instantly available. You don't do anything. Just press the power button to turn it on.
I also printed from my iPhone - I hadn't done it before - and it also found it immediately and I was really impressed. Easy - simple - fast.
Also, the second reason is that it is extremely fast and elegant.
Finally, very cheap toner.
I was looking for a printer that does one thing well - print quickly and economically without connectivity problems for the future, and I think I found it. Only time will tell if the choice was right. For me, yes to everything
The first impressions are very good.
It works flawlessly and the factory ink seems to last for several more pages.
I also bought a replacement ink for ... ~6€ ...!
For me, the main thing is for it to work without bothering me, especially in relation to the paper feeding mechanism.
The only downside I would mention is the slightly increased noise...
================
I bought this printer for around ~190 after being disappointed with the Lexmark 2442dw.
The installation was a bit of a hassle as I had to search deep in my drawers to find a USB cable for the printer. I also had to remember how I did these installations several years ago...
Additionally, the network port doesn't seem to activate (probably because they removed the printer's network card since it has WiFi...?).
It took a few seconds to download the installation software from the Brother website and after a few plug-ins and plug-outs of the USB cable, Windows 10 recognized the machine and the printer installation was completed without any issues.
Due to urgent needs in the office, the machine immediately printed about 50 pages of text. The default setting is to print double-sided, which is done without any significant delays.
The printing speed is quite satisfactory and the quality (even at 300dpi) is very satisfactory.
Compared to the Lexmark, the only negative is the slightly increased noise. In the context of an office, this is common, but don't expect not to hear it at all.
The paper feeding mechanism for now seems excellent (which was one of the two ink points of the Lexmark).
The fact that it accepts 3rd party toners with a ridiculous cost (7€ for 6000 pages compared to almost 100€ for 1500 pages of the Lexmark) is a major reason for choosing it.
Printing from an Android phone works perfectly through the Play Store application.
Bravo to Brother!
I hope it keeps me company for many years...
Excellent printer with very affordable compatible ink cartridges. Purchased for professional use mainly for printing invoices and other documents. It is not bulky and I have it connected via Ethernet for permanent network connection! We can print directly from our mobile devices through the network, without even downloading any Brother plug-in. Fast printing (even double-sided)... Purchased for €178. I should have bought it earlier before prices started to rise!
It is I think a very good purchase. The first impressions are excellent and I don't think they will change in the future. It connects easily in any way you want, prints quickly, doesn't take up space, all good!
The printer is simply incredibly fast (always for home use).
Crystal clear prints and very fast.
Download the driver package from the official website https://support.brother.com/g/b/downloadlist.aspx?c=hk&lang=en&prod=hll2375dw_eu_as&os=10013
and once you have the printer ready with the drum & toner and have installed the software, then turn it on.
The first thing it did was to get the latest driver updates.
Everything is easy and I don't think anyone will have difficulty. It will ask you what mode you want to use, wifi or USB, and the router key is entered directly from the computer (here I don't know why some people struggle to enter it from the printer).
From your mobile, download Brother iPrint&Scan from the Play Store and once installed, you are ready to print whatever you want.
Very good! And you can find cheap off-brand toners. I was thinking of getting a Xerox but it costs at least 50 euros for a toner, so it's not worth it.
Connecting to wifi is very easy with the router's button, if you don't have one, it's also easy but it takes a little time to enter the wifi password.
It worked perfectly with my mobile on wifi. As usual with all printers on Windows, if you don't install the software, they never work properly. I can't understand why, really. Just install the software from the website, and it will work flawlessly without any issues. Otherwise, it may get stuck in the queue like all printers always do. It works immediately with all other software, including iOS, Android, Mac, and Linux, which I tried and they all find it instantly through the network.
In terms of quality, if you use the software, you can also choose the quality. I have set it to the lowest at 300ppi to save ink, and the prints are 300 times better than inkjet. I don't know why I didn't get a laser printer for so many years.
My overall experience with this particular machine is very positive. The boot-up is lightning fast (waiting time from the moment you press the power button) and the first print is also impressively quick. Additionally, the range and power of the wifi adapter are very good. It is easy and fast to use on Ubuntu, Windows 10, and Android. The only negative thing I have to say is that entering the wifi password (especially if it is long and complex) can be quite tiresome and can take several minutes! The experience of selecting characters on a one-line LCD using only up and down arrows can only be described as masochistic, which is why I gave a mediocre rating for the installation, even though everything is fine once the WiFi password is entered.
I had bought the previous model 3 years ago, it didn't give me any problem and obviously when I needed a second printer I bought the same one (update version)
