I got it for the bedroom but it sounded like an airplane taking off even on the first setting and returned it. If you want it for another room where noise doesn't bother you, it's manageable

It is not suitable for nighttime sleep. Even at the lowest setting, it makes significant noise. Otherwise, it appears to be a sturdy construction and produces sufficient airflow.

Very nice product, cheap, does its job! Lightweight without much noise. I have it for the summer days in my room when I sit at the computer. No complaints! 2 and a half years of use (seasonally)
