The second part of Book II, which deals with the section of Timaeus from 29b to 31b, is divided into two main sections:
A) The determination of the type of speeches that should be used for the ceremony of the universe, as well as the way in which the listeners should accept these speeches (348.13-355.15).
B) The final cause for which the creator recommended the world, as well as the nature of the model on the basis of which he recommended it (355.18-458.11).
This second section is divided into three sub-sections, of which the third is essentially part of the second sub-section:
a) The final cause of the establishment of the universe.
b) The nature of the very or perfect living being, which is also the model of the universe.
c) The uniqueness of the sensible universe, which is mainly due to the uniqueness of its intelligible model.
