The offering holds a central position in the ecclesiastical life of our Orthodox Church, as it serves as a point of reference for each of us in many ways:

wheat, which is a gift from God,

leaven, which is our own offering,

antidoron, which is a participation in blessing and sanctification.

And above all, the Body of Christ.

Bread and the artoklasia refer to the miracles of Christ and have their roots in the Love, the common tables of the faithful in the early Christian years.

The precious opportunity to knead the offering and our own bread ourselves made us seek a little more of what was related to them. By researching the tradition of kneading the offering and bread, we wanted to share with others the joy of the information we gathered about their kneading, their sealing or decoration, their place in ecclesiastical life, their place in the Divine Liturgy, and their history in the past, present, and forever.
