The book "The phenomenon of female vendettism in 19th century Greece" is a publication of the dissertation submitted to the Department of Theater Studies at the University of Athens in 2008 and is the result of long-term primary research and study. The book deals with the issue of the phenomenon of female vendettism as it first appeared in Greek theater in the second half of the 19th century, during its formative period. It examines the ways in which the phenomenon is manifested, the process of its introduction into domestic theatrical practice, and the elements of its development. It aims to partially fill the significant gap in the history of modern Greek theater regarding the actions and presence of its protagonists, especially Greek female protagonists, whose role was very important in the development of the domestic stage.
