I give 2 stars because in the approximately 9 months that I have had them, they have not dissolved to the point of being non-functional and I still use them.
Beyond that:
- The laces literally broke within the first week of light use, as happened with other users who reviewed the product online. Because the problem seems to be in the metal parts of the shoes through which the laces pass (they are sharp and fray them every time they are pulled to tie them), after buying and breaking 4 or 5 laces, I ended up buying plastic rope by the meter from Leroy Merlin and threading it only to avoid having to throw away the shoes within the first month of use.
- Almost immediately after I started wearing these shoes to work, I started having problems with my knee, which I successfully operated on in 2012 (meniscus tear) and had never had problems with since. This is a subjective experience, but I must mention it here.
- The shoe is quite heavy, bulky, and hard, and in feel, it is no different from the shoes provided by the company I work for, which are in the price range of about €20 to €30. However, these Dewalt shoes have performed much better in terms of foot odor all these months, although they recently started to smell as well. I should note that I am not prone to foot odor except with very cheap work shoes provided at work, which is why I searched to find something better and branded online and came across these Dewalt shoes.
In summary, these shoes did not break quickly and remain functional, however, their properties and characteristics, both in terms of their price and in general, left me with a strange aftertaste and I would not buy them again. Instead, I would either buy something in the €30 range that would have AT LEAST the same performance or I would go straight for high-end shoes, as I have done in the past and have not regretted it. Unfortunately, these particular shoes seem to combine the negatives from both of these categories into one shoe.

The laces lasted almost two years, but they broke in half the time
