The best tire I have put on a scooter and have tried everything....in wet conditions, as many claim, it performs very well...I have had them for 5 years and they still hold up perfectly, they need to be replaced because cracks have started to appear, but they have never let me down in sudden braking.....of course, I don't push them to the limit in turns...The city grip tires I had afterwards would skate after a while.....

Very mediocre tire! While on wet asphalt you feel stability and safety, on dry it easily slips and skids. The Michelin ones I had were much better in every aspect. I wear them on a Piaggio Medley 150 for delivery use!

They were purchased in April 2021, a year and a half ago, and only because Michelin tires were not available due to the pandemic. However, there were many stores with available Michelin tires at Skroutz, but I was in a hurry to change them because I had to pass the vehicle inspection and I had Michelin tires from 2012, so I decided to try the Pirelli ones. They were installed on an Aprilia Atlantic 300 (which weighs 160 kg, one of the lightest, most flexible, and "fast" scooters I have driven in the 300cc category), but I only have experience with Michelin tires in this size, so inevitably I compare them. Dimensions: rear 130/70/13 and front 110/90/13.
My impression when I installed them: They are relatively soft tires, comfortable. The same when they start to slip, they do it smoothly. They have good performance in the rain as long as the road is not smooth and there is not too much water, as they tend to slip more easily in those conditions. They are also quiet, with good rolling quality.
My impression of the tires today, after a year and a half and 6000 km: They have hardened, they are not as soft as they were in the beginning. They slip much more in dry conditions than when I first installed them, especially if they sit unused for a few days, and the front tire tends to slip first, which can be a bit scary as both tires don't slip together as I was used to with the previous tires. They remain quiet and have good rolling quality. They need pressure checks every 2 months as they lose 3-4 psi. Finally, winter has not come yet, so I haven't seen how they behave in heavy rain.
Compared to the Michelin City Grip tires I had: Michelin tires are slightly harder but provide a sharper driving experience, they slip later (with more kilometers, at least +10 km/h) and perhaps more abruptly compared to the Pirelli ones. They have the same rolling quality in the center, but Pirelli tires are slightly more comfortable and quiet when leaning. In heavy rain, the Pirelli tires are more prone to hydroplaning. Michelin tires wear slightly more in the center compared to Pirelli tires when riding for long distances in an upright position (e.g., on highways). I rarely check their pressure because they don't lose air, maybe I add 2 psi every 6 months. Finally, the Michelin City Grip 2 tires (the new model) I have on another 300cc scooter (SYM GTS 300) have the M+S marking, suitable for winter conditions (mud, snow, heavy rain) with all the positives that come with it, except that they wear slightly faster (the scooter is heavier, 192 kg, and almost always slightly loaded as I use it for "upright" trips).
Conclusion: I probably wouldn't buy them again for the agile city driving I do with the Aprilia Atlantic 300. They might be more suitable for the SYM GTS 300, i.e., for more "touring" use where I would look for a more comfortable tire that can handle straight lines without having high grip requirements, etc. They are also slightly more expensive than other brands, even though they are made in "economical" Indonesia. (The Michelin City Grip tires I had were made in Spain, while the new model, City Grip 2 M+S, is made in Serbia)
Update March 2023, after 2 years: The tires have dried out even more, they slip even more easily on rough roads. They don't disperse water enough, hydroplaning occurs faster than expected. They are okay in moderate rain, but in heavy rain or puddles, they literally pass over the water and you lose control. Now it seems logical since the grooves on the tire are quite narrow/small and almost perpendicular to the tire's rolling direction. On the contrary, the Michelin City Grip 2 tires that I have on my other scooter perform well even in wet conditions. You can lean as much as you want on a good asphalt surface, no matter how much it's raining. You can ride over puddles without feeling anything, and in the rain, I comfortably reach speeds of 120km/h without any fear. They haven't dried out even though they are 3 years old, instead of the 2 years that I have the Pirelli tires. From what I understand, the Michelin tires outperform the Pirelli tires, which are made in Indonesia and should logically be cheaper, but don't be fooled, they are not worth it!Translated from Greek ·- Grip on dry pavement

sym citycom 20,000 km 4+ years not so much in use in the city and they are very good even though I will replace them with the same ones. They don't wear out, especially the rear. It impresses me that after so many years there are no cracks or sunburn marks, even though it wasn't in a shady area.

From these specific tires, I was very satisfied. For me, they are the best I have tried on my scooter (People 300gti). I have also tried Metzeler and Dunlop, but these tires lasted me 40,000 km. I was recommended them by a store that supplies all brands. They are not factory-made and I had some hesitation at first, but I trusted the name and the fact that they were slightly more expensive than the Michelins that the scooter came with from the factory. I put them on a Vespa GTS super sport. I'm not one of those who leans into the turn with their knee, but I will say the following. The scooter handles better, brakes better, and you really feel like you're sticking to the road. As for durability, I don't know because I've had them for about 1 month, but I remember in the past I had a smaller Vespa ET4 with factory-made Pirellis that lasted 4-5 years, unlike the Michelins that needed to be changed at 3 to 4 years. The time I've had them so far is fantastic, highly recommended.

Excellent choice. The behavior of the scooter changes. These tires are now a one-way street, which is why they are so successful. Especially for scooters with 15" wheels and below, they are the best option.
