This review is about a variation of the product

I rented the lens for 5 days to test it during my vacation in Serifos. I had previously owned the equivalent Nikon lens, so I have a good comparison measure on the D750.

-The lens is Dead Accurate in AF, both day and night. It didn't miss a single click while the Nikon struggled at night.
-Vignetting. What is that? Does it exist? Even at 2.8, I was searching for darkness around the edges and couldn't see it.
-Ergonomically, it is one of the best I have held. The zoom ring is tight and easy. The Nikon gave me trouble mainly because my thumb couldn't fit between the top of the lens and the flash protrusion.
-Regarding build quality, there's not much to say. If there's one thing the ART lenses have, it's that. Solid construction with heavy crystals that produce beautiful images and give you the confidence that you're holding something of quality. Although in general, Sigma has gone overboard with weight and quality, here I think they found the perfect balance, and I say this having worked with the entire range of primes from 24 to 105 f1.4. Another important thing is that the weight is evenly distributed along the lens and it's not just heavy in the front, for example.

The most important thing of all, of course, is the image quality that interests you. It's one of those lenses that you buy, put in your bag, and never doubt for a moment about the result it will give you. It has good and accurate colors that were very close to reality. Neither flat nor overly contrasty. Of course, to judge this, you need a properly calibrated screen and a camera that many people don't have, but I do and I say it. Anyway, the distortion at 14mm is just right and the bokeh it produces at 2.8 is unexpectedly good for an ultra-wide lens.

In any case, it is a must-have lens along with a 35mm for landscape photographers and more.

Finally, a friendly advice to everyone: If you want to become a better photographer, you need to start working with wide lenses. 24mm, 28mm, 35mm. They have more information that you need to manage and require technique to produce great images.

    I hope I helped
