Maximos is born in a village in the mountainous region of Corinthia. The favoritism shown to him by his father causes jealousy and eventually the hatred of his older brother towards him. Life will bring it so that the two brothers, as they grow up, will lose each other from their lives. Maximos will develop an honest and upright character, supporting his parents in the village, but life will show him its harsh face and soon the losses he will experience will transform him into a tough rock.
