Description

The textbook was written to serve the increasing and urgent needs of colleagues, physics teachers, candidates for ASEPs competitions.

It consists of four sections:
- an extensive typology with theoretical elements,
- ten multiple choice questionnaires (tests) with fifty questions each,
- their answers with explanation,
- the topics of ASEPs competitions.

We tried to include as many types as possible in the typology and highlight some relationships among them, even to include some simple proofs, which are interesting as exercise solving methodologies, in order to help in memorization and understanding of basic types. The typology, therefore, has a place of summary theory, with emphasis on the points where most difficulties arise, that is, the points corresponding to the material between university and high school.

In the second and main part, we have 10 questionnaires (tests) with 50 questions each.
In each test, the questions are distributed as follows:
1 to 12 from the subject of Mechanics,
13 to 17 from the subject of Thermodynamics,
18 to 35 from the subject of Electromagnetism,
36 to 38 from the subject of Nuclear Physics, and
39 to 50 from the subject of Modern Physics.

The distribution of questions in the individual chapters of Physics was based on the approximate distribution of questions in the recent ASEPs competitions.

In the answers, instead of providing only the correct answers, we usually justify or prove our answers and occasionally compare them with similar cases.

The level of the questions is somewhat more difficult than the corresponding level of ASEPs competitions. This is because our goal was not simply to repeat the school material in the form of multiple choice questions, nor of course to summarize a huge amount of material from the first university years - "largely useless in preparing for this specific competition" - but
- to focus mainly on some topics of the 1st or 2nd year of university, which present some difficulties in understanding and dealing with and which are in the spirit of ASEPs exams,
- to bridge the gap between high school material and the material of the first university years, and
- to reveal various traps hidden in the high school material, which generally escape attention.
