Very good camera for under €50, with the ring light it actually works well in a room without any other light source, it is indeed 1080p 60 fps as advertised. The base is a bit strange and takes getting used to, but it gives you plenty of options on how to set it up, either on the monitor or on the desk. It is worth the money
Bought it for 71€. Very good features, MANY customization options through SYNAPSE. The light is convenient although not ideal for glasses wearers. The microphone is average to good, the space should also help.
Excellent use exclusively for teleconferences until it broke down in 2 years and 7 months, which I consider unacceptable for a camera. Would I buy it again? Yes, if it had a longer warranty. I lean towards Logitech 920C.
I bought it for my online exams at my school (Microsoft Teams for Schools and Students) as they required camera identification and I work from my desktop.
The image is crystal clear, nothing like a 20-25 euro camera. However, the LED ring enhances the image! In low-light conditions like my room, which has minimal natural lighting, the result is truly incredible. In the photos, I had a white background on the screen, and the truth is that the Ultrawide 34" illuminated me more than the Kiyo, but with a dark background, the difference is noticeable!
I think with a little research on the various options, one realizes that it is easily the best choice for a web camera under 50 euros. Razer Synapse works perfectly on Windows 11.
Goodly assembled camera that provides excellent image and sound. The only thing that concerns me is its base, on our monitor it cannot hook securely so as to be stable. If it is placed on a desk or a flat surface, it is fine, but in my case, I have it on top of the monitor and I would not characterize it as completely stable since the mechanism that hooks it does not have a spring to provide resistance. Nevertheless, it is worth, I would say, its money.

Very good camera, although it has a somewhat difficult mounting base. It will take you a little while to find its position, depending on the screen as well. In the mini video I have uploaded, you will see where I have placed the camera above the lamp, at the top of the screen, which ultimately suited me better (it is not clear because the camera is "closed", folded backwards, which is convenient when it is not in use). The resolution is very good for its price, with automatic focus, a good built-in microphone, ideal for low lighting, and with the ring light for additional light, which turns on and increases in intensity (personally, I do not use it because the light from the lamp above the screen is enough). One "issue" it has is the viewing angle you will have during conversations, as you will appear lower (which of course also depends on the height of your screen and whether you have the lamp I mentioned earlier). Overall, flawless for its price!
A likable web cam with good construction, quality materials, and a nice soft, long cable. It provides Full HD image at 60fps with a fairly good image in bright conditions without annoying artifacts or "breaks" during movement. The built-in microphone provides a fairly clear sound. I find the Razer software quite user-friendly with various options. If you also use other Razer peripherals, it will be convenient to have all the settings together in "Razer Central".
Now onto the more average aspects. The field of view could be larger, capturing more space around you, although it is not bad. Its performance in low-light conditions is mediocre at best and has quite a bit of noise. No, the ring light does not greatly improve the quality, it slightly illuminates the face, making it more discernible in the dark, but the noise remains. Overall, the ring light is weak, slightly helpful, but it is more of a gimmick feature and cannot be satisfactorily used as a filler or beauty light. Also, its base fits well on all screens but is a bit bulky and may bother some as it takes up quite a bit of space on screens with small bezels.
Overall, it is a satisfactory web cam with good image quality for video calls and casual use, but it does not justify its price (you mostly pay for the brand). However, for more demanding situations or professional streaming, it falls short. It's fine, but there are cheaper solutions with similar features.
Good but NOT for MacOS. There is no software and the image is permanently pink. If you buy separate software (from another company) it works but it is an extra cost.
It is a very high-quality camera, with excellent image quality in low-light conditions, even in complete darkness, thanks to the Led Ring.
The built-in microphone is good for teleconferences and for everyday use, it sounds crystal clear. It is highly recommended and has the quality seal of Razer.
The only mediocre element is the customization software, which, however, is unlikely to be needed by anyone, as the default settings or automatic adjustments provide impeccable image quality.
Excellent camera with amazing quality in low light as well as normal lighting conditions. The opposite side always speaks highly of the quality. Easy to use and install. Note for those with bezel-less screens, the base may hide some information at the top of the screen if you touch it there (2-3cm) / the tabs from browsers in approximately 1080p.
Basically, 3 stars because it is an average cam for the brand and price. I compared it to a Chinese action cam that costs 50 euros and made the purchase as an upgrade. The difference in image quality is negligible, but it is a very good web cam. I did not evaluate the mic as I have never used it, I have a separate streaming mic.
Very good value for money camera, with its own lighting which is sufficient for me as I have hidden lighting in the room and I am not in complete darkness, without the camera flash. However, if you open the flash, it shows you very well even with the lights off. I do not recommend its microphone like any other camera, mainly for streaming in 1080p, etc. It is worth it fully. Compatible with Synapse for additional settings.
Unjustifiably heavy application, many bugs and incompatibilities with other applications.
The image is perfect under normal circumstances. Unfortunately, for some reason, it loses focus without warning and I have to remove it from the USB and plug it back in to fix it.
Its base is of poor quality and after a while, the clip on the seat broke.
Many users have written all of these things on foreign forums, but unfortunately, I relied on other products from the company that I had in the past, and I didn't bother to check the forums before buying it.
Very good for me working online! No comparison with my laptop's camera!!! I recommend it to everyone!! The only negative is the ring light which blinds you and is useless. I was disappointed because I bought it because of this but overall it is very good and I haven't needed the ring light so far!!
The only negative thing is that the ring light BOTH blinds you AND is useless. The lens is very bright and never needs extra light. At least in my office, which has windows all around because it is an open office.
I happen to have a Razer keyboard, so I already had Synapse installed. So the "installation" issue in my case was as easy as it gets. I understand that someone who doesn't have anything from Razer might have a different opinion -- I remember that I had a rather negative first impression with the keyboard.
Regarding low light performance, because I read comments like "no webcam will perform satisfactorily without ample light" etc... it's good to explain what use we are referring to. If we're talking about streaming on channels like YouTube, Twitch, etc., okay, I have no opinion but it seems logical to me that someone would want the best they can get. But come on, those of us who just want to have a satisfactory presence in a discussion with our colleagues at work, don't confuse us with such comments! The camera performs PERFECTLY in minimal to zero (only what the screen emits) light. The ring light is almost unnecessary, I use it at low intensity, just to balance out the yellowness from an overly (probably) warm light in the room. The stand is extremely stable, the screen doesn't have a wall behind it but stability is not an issue. I'm not an expert on webcams but I am very satisfied.
If you are a Mac user, stay away!!! Waste of money. It never worked. Razer Synapse 3 currently does not support Mac OS. https://mysupport.razer.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1500/kw/mac
Yesterday I did my first stream, I entered Synapse 3, saw that I liked the image from the presets and started in 3 minutes.
Okay, incredible image and really you get what you pay for compared to the cheap ones I used my whole life. Fantastic quality, incredible performance even in low light conditions, and the light on top of it is truly a pleasant surprise.
I am almost 1 meter away from the PC and I had just turned on the light, meaning it was very low (the more you turn the wheel in front, the more it illuminates) and really, without light in the room, it was perfect. Absolute darkness around me and the camera looked amazing.
I have been very skeptical about Razer lately because its quality has been deteriorating for the past 2-3 years, but really the camera was a very pleasant surprise.
Solid construction, sturdy, heavy enough, comfortably placed on the top of my screen and it didn't tire me at all. It's perfect for low light conditions.
I am truly impressed by its performance.
P.S: For those of you who have issues, dedicate 5-10 minutes to learn Synapse and adjust the settings you like. You don't need to have any special knowledge as it has many preset programs, where even an inexperienced user can make the settings.
Impressive work by Razer
The camera is easily positioned and sits well on the screen. The illuminated ring adds value to the camera and actually improves the image, and there is the ability to adjust the brightness to bring the image to the desired point.
The image quality is very good, making it suitable for use in any purpose. A negative aspect of the image is the autofocus, which is constantly activated with small body movements, but it can be deactivated.
The microphone is not good.
You can see first impressions, unboxing, installation, and use of the camera here: https://tipakos.com/razer-kiyo-unboxing/
Quite clear image, constantly blurs because it automatically focuses and is incredibly annoying during teleconferencing, for some reason the image is very 'pink' literally, the color I see is very pink, it is easy to handle in low lighting due to the light it emits, but even though it is cool.. everything appears more pink! It is not particularly difficult to apply it above the screen, or wherever it suits you, however it could be easier, especially for higher points, with a clip for example. Regarding the price, it should definitely be cheaper.
It is quite good and the ring light is an interesting feature. However, in some cases of high lighting, it appears dark. You need to adjust the settings a bit and Synapse is not very user-friendly. Generally, you can find something slightly better for the same price, but it is convenient if you also have other Razer products.
I wonder about the good reviews here and on the internet.
Image: Very good resolution, clear image in good lighting. If you are in a poorly lit area, don't expect the flash to do anything. You will notice a slight difference in the tones of your face.
Sound: On calls, I can hear decently. When I test it in a recording, it's like I'm in a tunnel.
If you don't have a good connection, you will experience a lot of lag, even on Skype. To lower it to 720p, you need another program because Razer's doesn't allow it
Here we are with the pandemic (knock on wood, let's get out quickly), all day in front of a computer, I was tired of appearing with a green, blurry and striped camera image!!! I clenched my teeth (because it costs a little), ordered a camera, delivery, unboxing (wonderful design), connected the cable, made sure that I am myself and not someone else, it connected (on Windows 10) by itself AND I SAW THE REAL LIGHT! You turn on the ring-light at will to highlight this and hide that, and you have live photoshop, people ask you what cream you put on your face and you look so flawless! Ha! The only problem is the base, which doesn't inspire any confidence that if you have it on the screen and you slightly move the desk passing behind it, it won't do bungee jumping on the keyboard with its weight. If you have a wall behind it, no problem. So whether I have it on the PC base or on a shelf above, it does its job just fine (and sound!), it shows you sharp, hurry up! And sign up for the warranty.
It may be a bit pricey, but it's worth 1000 percent if the interested party needs a very good camera for live streaming. It comes with an application for various lighting adjustments, saturation, etc. and the light ring is satisfactory!
For the money, it's the best choice out there!!
Until I tried this camera, I simply hated my gaming laptop's camera.
But compared to other cheaper cameras, it's worth the 97 euros for something that will stay with you and has additional built-in lighting for night streaming on Twitch, for gaming, art, or music. It's the best for beginners, of course the ring light is useful but I don't recommend using it in front of your face because it strains the eye
