This textbook was written to assist in the teaching of the compulsory course of the same name, both for foresters and agriculturalists in the field of land improvements, and deals with topography, which mainly concerns the work of geotechnical engineers. The methods of surveying are analyzed, which are constantly evolving and improving, but increasing the cost of equipment, which is ultimately offset by the continuous increase in the value of the land, which is measured with greater accuracy and better work performance. Of course, it should be noted that the evolution in Topography-Geodesy began and continues for military purposes in order to be used for peaceful purposes as well.
The structure of the textbook consists of methods of measuring angles, lengths, heights, and their combination. The detailed description of the instruments is given in the chapter where the corresponding instrument has the main use, e.g. the level in elevation measurement, the theodolite and compass in angle measurement, the geodetic station, G.P.S. and photogrammetric systems in point positioning (E, N, H), etc. Thus, the textbook is divided into 8 chapters. It should be noted that the main instrument of Topography, the theodolite, is used in the literature with the masculine and neuter article, which is why both are used in this textbook. [...]
