The Algebra curriculum for the 1st Year of High School contains important chapters that are essential for the following grades.
This book is written in a simple and detailed manner. The student starts with solved exercises, which have been carefully selected to master all concepts and techniques. Then, the student continues with solving exercises, whose difficulty progressively increases, and gradually reaches the level of solving complex and combinatorial problems.
Each chapter of the book contains:
- basic theory and its applications,
- critical thinking questions
- combinatorial problems,
- selected topics from the Topic Bank,
- problems whose solutions require special mathematical thinking,
- evaluation criteria
- detailed solutions of the exercises from the school textbook.

Excellent, it explains important things that the book ignores and simply leaves you to figure them out on your own
I thank so much the cover, I don't know what's up...the bokeh effect on the lights emphasizes the integrity of the units as well as the concept of algebra (reunion of broken parts) if you imagine that soon it will focus again and the light will diffuse. I know, it sounds silly, but it's something that pushes me to open it!
As for the scaling of the material and the content, I have one thing to say. I had loaded the material of the 2nd and 3rd grade of middle school on my back for various reasons, resulting in gaps in factoring, identities, quadratic equations, simplifications. Well, as soon as I started reading, I solved all my doubts and within 2 months I regained what I was missing and even more. It's strange for a student who used to say "Math is not for me" to enjoy struggling over an exercise. The description of the theory helps a lot, personally I never use the textbook for such a purpose.
I am a physicist and I believe it is one of the most valuable mathematics books. The student can read it on their own and understand a large part of the methodology with many examples. Of course, it delves into a very satisfactory level.
The same applies to the books of the Gymnasium.
Papadakis' tutorials are the best in my opinion. He explains them so thoroughly and has many exercises. As a student, I had it in high school and it helped me a lot. I highly recommend it.
