Description

Before she could finish the first paragraph, she had already forgotten that what she was holding in her hands was a part of their research. She allowed herself to be carried away by the aroma of the words and soon she was lost in its pages, diving into the richness of its images and rhythm, following the narrative of Ariadne's adventures as the heroine descended into the depths of that haunted Barcelona. Every paragraph, every sentence seemed to have been composed based on a musical key. The storytelling wove the words into golden threads and drew the gaze into a reading with pulse and color that painted a shadow theater in the mind. She read continuously for two hours, savoring every sentence and fearing that she would reach the end.

In Barcelona, in the late 1950s, Daniel Sempere is no longer the boy whose life would change within the corridors of the Cemetery of Forgotten Books. The mystery of his mother's death, Isabella, has opened an abyss in his soul, from which his wife Bea and his faithful friend Fermin are trying to save him. And just when Daniel believes he is only one step away from solving the puzzle, a conspiracy with roots much deeper and darker than he could ever imagine spreads its nets starting from the root of the Regime. It is then that Alicia Gris appears, a creature born from the shadows of war, to lead them into the heart of darkness, revealing the dark history of the family... albeit at a tremendous price.

"The Labyrinth of the Spirits" is a captivating narrative full of passion, conspiracies, and adventures. Through its pages, we are led to the grand finale of the saga that began with "The Shadow of the Wind" and unfolds here with all its intensity and depth, while simultaneously serving as a great hymn to the world of books, the art of storytelling, and the magical bond between literature and life.

This review is about a variation of the product

The first volume was exciting... In the second volume, when the main story was completed, it started to tire me. I felt like the author was trying to "tidy up" the characters to wrap up the plot.
Nevertheless, I love the style of this particular author and I hope to soon have all of their works in my library.

Favorite author, with a specific style that I personally really like. He complicates the stories in a unique way. This particular book is one that you can't put down, with an exciting plot. It is necessary to buy the second volume, as the story is cut in the middle... The second volume, where the main story continues, is equally interesting. However, from a certain point onwards, personally, it started to tire me, as it seemed like the author was simply trying to "tie up" the loose ends of the characters.
