Panagiotis and Sofia, ten and eighteen years old respectively, visit their mother's beloved grandmother in a neighborhood of Piraeus, in Tambouria. Here, during the years of Turkish slavery, when this place was forests, beaches, and pastures, one of the brightest pages of 1821 was written.
