The present fourth edition of this textbook is presented twenty years after the first. The passage of time necessitates certain changes due, mainly, to the changes that occur in the sizes of Greek Agriculture and the institutional framework (Greek and Community) within which the agricultural sector operates.

Of course, the purpose of the textbook remains the same, namely the extensive and detailed economic analysis of the agricultural sector and the problems it faces.

The structure of the textbook remains as it was in its initial edition, as the long-term experience from teaching showed that it was suitable.
