He is the poet of deviation, a cursed deracine of sibylline nature, but not as the younger poets have taught us in terms of perspective, but through tangible annihilation.
One gets the feeling that "The Hanging Verses of Babylon" is a pivotal point for contemporary poetry. Now in the 21st century, with poetic discourse appearing stunned and constantly losing ground, Yiannis Livadas reveals the first signs of a renewed poetic space, personalized at a primary level, but formed with the most characteristic and painful heterogeneities, those truths that humanity keeps locked in the last drawer.
