The present volume includes all the excerpts that have been preserved from the two poetic works of Empedocles ("On Nature" and "Purifications"), as classified by the philologists Diels - Kranz. Also presented are the excerpts that have been decrypted and recently published under the title "The Strasbourg Papyrus". The texts are enriched with modern Greek translation, extensive philological and philosophical comments, selection of ancient testimonies, and concordance.
