Before it even reached one year of operation, it had a problem with the temperature. Specifically, the cooling temperature reached 10-12 degrees and even after setting it to 0 degrees, it still emptied out at 6-7-8 degrees.

I am currently in the process of defrosting it as advised by the service, hoping that it will fix the problem. However, it is tragic for a NO FROST refrigerator to require defrosting in less than a year of operation. Another refrigerator of the same value but a different brand, which I have in another house, has been working perfectly for 7 years without needing defrosting.

Perhaps it also has an issue with freezing. I remember that in the beginning, when I put ice cream in it, they would remain soft. They wouldn't freeze as they should. Sometimes it does it on its own, something like defrosting or freezing, and I see water droplets inside. The temperature fluctuates and is not stable at -18 degrees.

The shelf arrangement is very mediocre. It is not convenient for large bottles.

The problem still persists with temperatures reaching up to 15 degrees in the cooling compartment. Another service check is scheduled, and we are waiting. It is frustrating during the summer not being able to preserve even 2 things with such temperatures.

FAULTY DEVICE

I have had the refrigerator for over 4 years (purchased on 12/16/18). I notice several things that previous reviewers have mentioned. Regarding the issue with large bottles fitting in the door, you need to remove one small shelf on the second side of the door to have space for more bottles. Personally, I also removed the ice tray from the freezer, which greatly increased the space. Of course, I had noticed these things in all similar refrigerators in its category and from almost all manufacturing companies. As for us, a family of three, the existing spaces are more than enough for us. The internal storage spaces are quite large and overall meet our needs. It has a proper layout, of course, as long as the goods are distributed correctly in the spaces, according to the products and needs. In any case, I consider it very satisfactory in this regard, compared to others in its category. Now, the problem that arises is that it now makes a noise, which is naturally more noticeable at night when there is silence. It is a loud noise, but only at specific times and not continuously. Obviously, it occurs during the automatic defrosting process. I tried to fix it by adjusting the door, but I don't see much difference. Unfortunately, its general warranty has expired, and now only the motor warranty remains. We'll see. As for the choice of stainless steel, the well-known problem with the door is that if it gets hit, it gets dents that are quite unsightly, and repairing it is impossible because when I spoke with LG, they only suggested replacing it, which is not cost-effective (in 2019, they asked for 50% of the refrigerator's purchase cost to replace the maintenance door). Additionally, when the maintenance door closes a bit forcefully, the freezer door has a slight play. However, when I test if the door magnets adhere properly to the surface, I see that they still hold well. Overall, I am completely satisfied with this purchase. Furthermore, I have installed an automatic protection switch in the socket to protect the control board from possible power surges, and so far, it has worked without any problems.

Update: In August 2023, the refrigerator showed increased temperature in the maintenance section after measuring it with a thermometer. The cause of the problem was that the maintenance door had remained open for a short period, and as I discovered, the refrigerator had accumulated ice on the internal fan. After speaking with the company's service, the solution was what I had already started, which was emptying the contents and transferring them to another refrigerator and deactivating its operation for at least twelve hours (up to 22 hours depending on the weather, for example, it takes more time to defrost in winter), leaving the refrigerator doors open. After the designated hours, I restarted its operation, and after at least eight hours of operation, I took a new temperature measurement with the thermometer, and the problem had been resolved, and the fan was functioning normally. Advice: do not leave the door open for a long time, and make sure it is closed properly.

We have had the refrigerator since Monday, July 31, 2020. We followed all the instructions and put food in the next day, so the refrigerator was working empty with only 4 bottles of water in the freezer. We put meat in the freezer on Tuesday at noon and by Wednesday at noon, one third of it had not yet frozen??????????????? The refrigerator has nothing to do with our old Siegen brand refrigerator in terms of cooling. It simply does not produce the cooling that I expected from a new refrigerator. I have it set to 2 degrees for refrigeration and inside it is 12-14 degrees Celsius???? In the zero-degree drawer, the temperature in the morning was 5 degrees and at noon it was 10???????????????????????????? And the freezer was -12 degrees in the morning. But the worst thing that has ever happened to me in a refrigerator for the first time in my life is that when I close the refrigeration door, the freezer door opens slightly ???????????????????????? Unbelievable, yet true. Now I have lowered the refrigeration temperature to one degree to see what it will be like inside??? I think we made a big mistake with the purchase of THIS REFRIGERATOR. Tomorrow I will definitely call the service to see what they will do and what they will tell me. P.S. It's surreal to close the refrigeration door and have the freezer door open and close????

Owner of the product for less than a year, approximately 11 months. Purchased on 10.07.2019. The product is unreliable as it has burned the circuit board twice within 11 months, resulting in a family inconvenience, and both times during the summer months (maybe this is just a coincidence, I don't know). The LG dealership remains indifferent despite my repeated complaints. The authorized service, Service One, has replaced the circuit board both times. The problem is that they do not know the reason why the circuit board is burning, they cannot find a solution to this, and I do not exclude the possibility that it will happen again. The product still has one more year of warranty... except for the motor, but who can guarantee that this won't happen again and that I won't be left hanging without warranty anymore. So be very careful... considering that we might be dealing with a faulty device that burns the circuit board twice within 11 months and the dealership, while acknowledging the problem, cannot properly diagnose it (for the reason why this is happening) and refuses to replace the product with a new one for no reason. I also noticed a tendency to avoid complaints from LG, through the company Service One, as when I officially requested communication from the dealership, they assigned it to their authorized service. Additionally, in terms of maintenance, vegetables easily freeze if they are close to the side walls. Cheap construction in general, but even in everyday use, the ice maker has proven to be particularly sensitive. The product is of Chinese origin, name and reality! Simply stay away from LG!

Many spaces. Good construction. The only problem is the bottom shelf on the door. You can put things that you don't use often. Mine probably came from the beginning with a faulty compressor or it broke in the first month and I didn't realize it. These things happen. It made a lot of noise. Only when I compared it to a similar refrigerator of a friend did I realize that it makes a lot of noise, so I called the service. They quickly replaced the compressor. The noise decreased a bit but it remains intense. Many vibrations pass through the body of the refrigerator. It is not the quiet noise that a linear compressor has, but a buzz. The vibrations of the compressor pass completely to the refrigerator. I will wait to see how it goes and will call the service again. But it's a bit tiring for a new refrigerator. It says 39db...not 46-47...

edit 1/2/2020: I was late but I called the service for the second time. They easily identified the problem of the intense noise and after 2 days they called me and told me that the refrigerator will be replaced. Another refrigerator!!!! Much quieter now, almost silent and even lower consumption!! So the previous refrigerator probably had other problems. However, it may happen to some people who bought the device to have a problem. The most important thing is the service provided by the company, and in my case, it was excellent. Now I believe that it deserves 5 stars.
