The articles included in this volume attempt to explore the elements of a progressive politics in Greece today. What should a modern center-left proposal for power aim for? What structural elements should it consist of? In our country, the rhetoric of progressiveness abounds, but a well-founded and contemporary progressive political analysis is scarce. With these articles, we are trying to partially fill this gap.

The articles gathered here certainly do not cover all areas of public policy. However, they represent a small sample of thought on specific issues concerning the relationship between center-left and reforms, the economy, the environment, European Union policy, national security, and reforms. This book combines the comprehensive and realistic discourse of center-left politicians who have exercised power with the more analytical and essayistic discourse of academics.
