Louis Auguste Blanqui (1805-1881) was present and a leader in almost all of the 19th century uprisings in Paris. Paris and revolutionary action kept him alive for forty-three (43) years and two months that he spent imprisoned. In other words, he spent less than fifteen (15) years free during his adult life.
