Heats up very quickly as it says.. It has a lock so that you don't accidentally press the buttons and change the temperature or turn it off without realizing it, but it has 2 negatives. Firstly, the curved handle makes it a bit uncomfortable to hold. However, after two months of having it, I have gotten used to it. And secondly, and worse, one corner of the plate catches hairs!! And at first, when I didn't know, it would break my hairs as I continued to pull on them. But now, as soon as I feel it snag a hair, I put the iron in a vertical position and gently pull it downwards, thus avoiding my hair getting caught. Maybe it's because the plates don't close together (one corner touches first and there's a gap) unless you apply force, then they will only touch. I do not recommend it. I will soon get another one, thinner, so that I can also curl my hair if I want. The one time I tried to make soft curls, while they came out nice, they didn't hold.

The best purchase I have made in a straightener..! And I have changed many.. perfect professional result with just one pass.. leaves the hair smooth without any frizz..
